I think the fox player went to shake the other guys hand when he saw that he took the stock so his eyes left the screen, therefore, he didn't see that fox was pushed off(hence no up b attempt). It's his fault for not paying attention, but still, the line has to be drawn somewhere for stupid situations like this.

This reminds me of the days before WiiU version, my brother and I were playing Smash 3DS and the match was Falco Vs. Fox (respectively). It was the first stock, and I'd knocked him high into the air, but he didn't die and was coming down. So right near the top of the screen, I jumped up to him and we up aired each other at the same time and both got star KO'd. Unfortunately, due to game patches, we lost that replay a long time ago.

I'd prefer this: forced star/screen KOs when the user has more than 1 stock, and a forced instant KO when he's at his last stock. Then it wouldn't fuck up last stock trade timings, and moves like Jigglypuff's rest will become 100% consistent. Also screen KOs have their charm and imo they are a cohesive part of Smash Bros.

Star KOs are why I want death zone rules to be tweated. Diddy clearly won that match, but RNG saved Rosa. Jigglypuff also won that match, but again RNG saved Roy. It should be that if the person with the last stock touches the death zone first, you lose regardless of Results Screen.

And in the case of a DBZ moment? Its not hidden but there IS an unfair advantage to it, whether people know about it or not. There's a chance you may die instantly from the top, but at the same time there's a chance that its a star instead. The player clearly touched the blast zone first, but because it rolled on a star, in rare scenarios when DBZ happens with a star KO, the person that dies first actually wins because of an animation. I don't care about star KOs in Melee or 64, since up the top its ALWAYS guaranteed to be a star, obviously players need to plan around it, and can use it as an advantage whenever it can apply. But in Sm4sh, its an RNG factor that decides the outcome of the match in this scenario, which is the coin flip between whoever touch the boundaries first or second. I honestly believe that in this rare case scenario for Sm4sh, rules should bend so that in the last stock, whoever touches the blast zone first loses, regardless of result screen, unless they plan to patch in a way for Star KOs to always be guaranteed, like the last stock. It just very upsetting that some games are decided by luck, not skill, even though those situations are rare to begin with. Unrelated, but this RNG factor also affects Jigglypuff. When she rest and kills, a coin flip to either her losing a stock or her being safe. She's already a mediocre character but the game wants to discourage the use of one of her strongest high risk high reward kit. This is one thing that bothered me most with how the "new" star KO works. This is just my two cents.

Kirby Up Throw Gooey Bomb In very tight situations, how would you know who won? If the game is not keeping track, it can be very hard to judge if a magnifying glass disappears frames before the other. Verifiability is a necessity.
