What was the knife you showed made by we knives that had button,back flip, front flip, and thumb studs, studs and pocket clip were titanium 20cv blade steel, can't find your vid on it. Thank you so much 😊

I'm not sure what model it's but I own a pocket knife made by Ruike with 14c28n steel and it looks very similar to the second knife in this video the $300+ knife. But my Ruike was only about $40 so I like my Ruike more but it's a personal opinion.
@dertodesking8379 Жыл бұрын
That US$300,- knife has titanium handles + a Vanax steel blade. These are among the very best materials you can get for a production folding knife. So even if they might be similar in looks, I guarantee you the QC has a very different ( much more premium ) feel to it.

i’m waiting for a QC Drift to arrive this weekend after considering it for 3+ months. the number of reviewers that i’ve heard describe it as a great one-and-done knife makes me really excited to EDC it a lot.

I bought an AD-10 when you were making videos about the sale, and I love it. It's gotta be the most iconic "overbuilt" knife of all time. And I know, I will never put it through a fraction of the punishment it's designed to take. I just like having a big strong brick of a knife because it's cool.
@timothyvolkers5343 Жыл бұрын
I was looking at the Cold Steel Demko knife and there's very small holes very close to the blade but on the handle scales. What are those little holes for are they for making a spear with the knife and tying it to a pole in the wilds. Or am I completely wrong and those holes are for something else
@maxlvledc Жыл бұрын
The holes were originally for locking the blade in place with a pin...but the triad lock is so strong it became unnecessary.
@timothyvolkers5343 Жыл бұрын
@@maxlvledc So it was used to try and make it like a fixed blade am I understanding the right?
@maxlvledc Жыл бұрын
@@timothyvolkers5343 yep, but it's overkill on top of a triad..I've never had a lock failure on an AD10 and never heard of one.
@timothyvolkers5343 Жыл бұрын

Love my buck 110 slim pro trx... but ever since I got it I've been thinking I need a classic 110... also, there are deployment sheaths for the 110 for what it's worth Also, I'm not saying the 6 inch Luzon is better than the ad10, but it's stinkin $40

Great video! I'm new to the hobby and i'm debating getting the CIVIVI Mini Praxis or SRM Knives 9201-PL. Any thoughts on which I should pick and any thought on the CIVIVI Mini Praxis?
@maxlvledc Жыл бұрын
Tough tough...the real question is..are you sticking to 30 or less? I don't think you can go wrong with either. Worth noting that the praxis is just under 3" blade but the srm is 3.5"
@robertquiroz630 Жыл бұрын
@@maxlvledc trying to stay under $40, did you have another recommendation in mind? 3" size it okay with me.
@dertodesking8379 Жыл бұрын
@@robertquiroz630 You basically can’t go wrong with anything Civivi imho. If you decide to spend around 50 bucks, the Civivi Elementum button lock, Vosteed Raccoon & the CJRB Pyrite are hard to beat in that budget.

A full size buck 110 with the brass and wood. But with a thumb stud. I would carry that in a belt pouch EVERY single day. It's something I can use and isn't too small.

I bought the Buck 110 for very cheap as a pre-owned model with all the included box and other pieces from Amazon and I don't like the 110 much but I got it for so cheap that it wasn't worth returning so I put it in my toolbox to use as a hard use knife it works great for that but I don't like it as a pocket EDC knife
@edgaraquino2324 Жыл бұрын
A nice overview, thanks!...I am familiar with only some of these....the one I have is the Buck...I have my father's 110 & I purchased a 112 many moons ago...love the brass & wood & do not mind leather holster carry...folks complain about the handling characteristics of these knives, but among other things, they are used primarily as dressers & skinners...hence the back heavy configuration where it would rest in the palm while working & to avoid slicing oneself...Question, Dominic - did Buck ever fix the wobble in the pivot on the pro? That & the price was the deal breaker for me so I bought the select instead...
@maxlvledc Жыл бұрын
No idea. The select doesn't appeal to me.
@maxlvledc Жыл бұрын
I mean pro, the select with 420hc and boss HT make more sense. Premium buck knives are horribly stacked against their competitors
