Important note about DVD playback: only the earliest Wii models can do this. After a certain point (unfortunately I have no idea when) Nintendo switched to a disc drive that cannot read non-Wii DVDs whatsoever. This measure was actually designed to counter burnt Wii games being played in the drive but in doing so it also removes any compatibility with DVD video discs as well. The drive model is called the "D3-2". I think a general guide to go by is any Wii that isn't white will probably have this drive. Many white Wiis do as well, however.

PMEX is my personal favorite Brawl mod. While I haven't tried many Project M mods, PMEX has a good balance of quality and quantity of characters (though anything involving items, including final smashes, often crashes the game)

Didn't think this would be so hard to understand. It's most definitely a lot to remember. I don't think I'll be doing this anytime soon, if I couldn't follow the instructions on how to modify the Sega Mega Drive HDMI console & hack it & add homebrew games, then there's most certainly no way I will ever get homebrew to work on my Nintendo Wii console 🕹️🎮, tutorials are sometimes a bit, tricky I'm not very good at this especially, if this is like doing a Linux kind of tutorial, that you have to follow but most of the time, I have better luck with installing a Linux terminal commands 👍🏿, I did have luck once installing you FL studio and Audacity in the terminal but anyone can do that, this🤷🏿‍♂️🤔🤦🏿‍♂️, but this kind of work. It's a real shame you can't just put roms on a SD card fat32, and just play them off the SD card on Nintendo Wii console, I didn't think tutorials would take so long, and be so difficult, I had much more luck with my Nintendo Switch, and I have most of a library of games, but this so I've heard can run graphics16 games, & Sega master system & many others, but the videos are Very 🕹️Cool👍🏿 keep it up.

I have a question about Japanese GC-games running on a modded Wii. On the Gamecube there was an issue with NTSC-J games making your memory card corrupt. When running an NTSC-J GC game through USB Loader, is it safe to make saves to a virtual memory card?

I would recommend saving to the virtual memory card, as I did experience a corrupted memory card when playing a few of the NTSC-J games. The virtual memory card is safe to use.

Hi, I desperately want to play the Japanese Wii version of Metroid Prime. So, I came across this channel because someone recommended I look into Homebrew. I'm unsure if this would be a suitable method to play original Japanese game discs. Is it? Also, I read about the risk of so-called "bricking". I went through this guide but after going into USB Loader GX after it was installed (no games on usb drive yet) I can not get out of it. From USB Loader GX I try to go to the Wii System menu but all I get is a black screen and I have power down the console using the power button to do anything else.
