Basically, there was a logger in the early 1900s, who lived over in Cannon Beach, OR. He was injured in the woods while working. He made it out to the road before he died. Ever since, that particular section of road is allegedly haunted by him. He is supposedly able to get into cars, and such.

Fire Island Lighthouse Legend has it when the Fire Island Lighthouse was being rebuilt, the lighthouse keeper, Nathaniel Smith, and his family were living nearby during the construction. When Smith's daughter became ill it purportedly took three days for medical attention to reach her. It was too late. Legend says that as you climb the 182 steps to the top of the lighthouse, you can hear a man moaning for his lost daughter, and that once you reach the top, you can hear footsteps on the stairs.

Theres an urban legend from where I live about a tiny person, called little man. He has the sort of bloodymary idea, that you speak his name aloud several times and its suppose to put you on his radar. He likes to trick people, he shows up at first when you're overly tired or drinking, like a figment of your imagination or a daydream. He likes to pop out and scare those who summoned him, increasing over time until no place is safe from him. He is said to be horrifying, but never clarified if in appearance or just in what he does, there is no way to be rid of him. He either gets bored of you, or you die.

There are many legends at my school but one of the most known legend would half to be the ghost of Mrs. Tayler. Many years ago my school had an Olympic size swimming pool in the basement. Almost everyday, a teacher named Mrs. Talyer would swim laps in the pool. One day the teacher was found dead in the swimming pool. Rumor has it, Mrs. Talyer was having an affair with one of her students. When the police investigated this, the student mystery dispersed, along with Mrs. Talyer's husband. It is said Mrs. Tayler's ghost roms the halls, looking for her murderer.

In New Hampshire there is the legend of goody cole In Massachusetts gets most of the attention for the witch trials, but Hampton's Goodwife Eunice Cole was convicted of witchcraft in 1656. In 1670 she was released and returned to Hampton, but her neighbors accused her yet again, and she suffered through another trial. Though she was found innocent, she never forgave her neighbors, who treated her like an exile and forced her to scrounge for berries to survive. Legend has it that since her death she has been responsible for a number of Hampton tragedies, including the sinking of a ship that killed 8 people. However, the town exonerated her in 1938 and finally set up a grave marker in her honor in the 1960s, and since then she has been a much more harmless spirit.

The only one I'm aware of in my area is one about this guy, a long time ago, who decided to kill his wife by tying her to a railroad track. However, she tied his shoestrings to the tack and got away. Supposedly, if you're on the track at the right time, the right day (when it supposedly happened) you can hear him screaming and the sounds of the train. I think there's a version where there's actually a ghost train and if you don't move the train takes you away forever or something.

It can walk on two legs, and what ever happens, don’t let it chance you. I looked it up after that. I found two versions. One said it liked to eat human flesh and the other said it turned you a zombie like thing so you can do its bidding if it gets close enough to look into its eyes. Whatever that means
