That's an idea! I was thinking Apollo because he is frequently depicted with the muses, and the number of people adds up. But I like the idea of it being Artemis way better!

oh my gosh! the first compact with the turquoise beads - my grandmother had just the top piece, I guess it had fallen off the compact. I used to love it and was so fascinated and never knew where it came from/what it was a part of. thanks for sharing and solving a little mystery for little kid me!
