You can go to the corporate finance institute website, but you have to pay for it. The result is a certification from the four main ones offered, and could lead to a career in finance

Why Excel and not R?
@DimitriBianco5 жыл бұрын
Excel is used in traditional finance but R, Python, and SAS are used in quantitative finance. Quant finance also is more statistically and mathematically driven which is why the choice of software changes. I actually have an entire channel dedicated to quant finance.

I'm pretty sure you are not a real user of either, or you wouldn't say that.

Excel? There are far more powerful mathmatical tools available in 2019. If the principle is "advanced use of mathematical and modelling tools" then i am with you. If you are literally hyping excel as the industry standard for financial modelling and charting you are missing a very large space of helpful and powerful tools.
@neelgowariker4753 жыл бұрын
Can you recommend which are the better, more industry standard tools?
@edforthought3 жыл бұрын
@@neelgowariker475 It really sepends on what you are doing. Python and its myriad of libraries has some very useful tools but are not very user friendly (requires coding and knowledge of the language) but is open source, usually well documented, and has a large community of support. Many financial institutions still use SAS for its logging and auditable code but is $$$$. Tableau has gained a much larger following in the last 10 years as well and is still free for personal use (i believe). I am not saying there is no place for excel. I use it everyday, there are just other more advanced tools out there now.
@neelgowariker4753 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I think I'll go with Tableau. Python just seems tough. Anyway, I'm not much of a coder.
