My recommendation to build your inventory w/o breaking the bank is to make a list of gear you want along with prices, set a monthly budget, and prioritize items on that list. In a year or two you would be surprised at how much gear and tackle you can collect. Even better if you plan to purchase items out of season, ie summer gear and baits in winter and vice versa. As I type this I think budgeting for fishing would make a great video topic.

@@TackleJunky81 I hear you don’t use braid to flouro leader? A 2500 for finesse techniques will make for a better cast. And braid to fluoro leader will solve line issues. I only use spinning setups for ned rigs, shakey, and wacky. 2500 for those techniques are much better I found out in my opinion. All preference really. Hope that helps

I always have a small pair or Kobalt metal cutters. Bass swallows the hook worm fishing, reach down, cut the hook in half, top half comes out (still attached to the line) grab the second half with needle nose pliers, push till barb is exposed, grab barb end and pull out through the same hole. No injury, no going in behind the gills. Fast, efficient, yes u will need a new hook but you saved the fish. IMO it’s the fastest easiest way to save a fish from a gut hook 👍

That Plano Edge series disappointed me. I went out and dropped a lot of money on a bunch of them thinking I had found the best tray out there and wow was I wrong... They are loud opening and closing them, they are awkward because they are a hard rigid case the "lid" almost out weighs the tray creating an off balance and don't have an air tight seal. Yes the little silica box is a nice option but I would much rather an air tight seal while throwing an silica pack or two inside. Also the weight of them was an over sight on my part I guess, I tried packing 10 of them into my Tackle bag (like I previously had) only to realize they increase the weight by at least 30% resulting in the bag being about 50lbs.
