Pregnant with my first (due next June). It’s crazy cause prior to being pregnant I craved sweets and fast food. I’m not overweight because I went to the gym, but definitely my diet was lacking. Since becoming pregnant these foods cause my stomach to hurl. But avocados, eggs, lentils, spinach literally foods I never craved are the yummiest things. It was an overnight thing to, which is actually how I found out I was pregnant. I think I’m growing a future dietitian 😅😅😅

Good morning, I am making the pregnancy power smoothie today. Your recipe is for 2 servings. Can I safely keep the other serving in the fridge and consume tomorrow? Would the eggs whites cause any foodborn illnesses if I leave it overnight in the smoothie? Thank you for your help.

Love this video! I try really hard to eat all of these daily if possible.... other than I've never tried algae oil and have only used cod liver oil as a supplement. But I will definitely have to get some! I'm breastfeeding and love my green smoothies or overnight oats with berries and chia seeds! I have made my own bone broth for a few years now and always end up needing to supplement with gelatin in my 3rd trimester as well to keep my fluid levels up as I'm pretty active and spend a lot of time outside. Gelatin is amazing stuff! I absolutely love sweet potatoes as well and have been using those in anything from a skillet hash to fries to baked and put into a baked oatmeal or smothie! I will eat avocados like they are going outta style too but wish they were cheaper!

Also Im wanting to plan for the future...do you have any post partum meal plans or breastfeeding/pumping meal plans?

How many times per week are you recommending to take the algae oil?
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV3 жыл бұрын
To get the 200- 300 mg DHA daily you could take 1 with that amount daily or one with 400-600 mg DHA every second day.

How do I get rid of the bitter taste in my mouth ?
@thegalhorowitzАй бұрын
drink lemon water after meals. Your acid is in your mouth likely because the valve that detects acid isnt closing due to low acid. Lemon water or sometimes acv water closes it.

Possibly a dumb question, but would algae oil take place of your fish oil supplement?
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question. Because Algae oil has been shown to increase blood DHA levels equivalent to fish oil, then yes, the algae oil replaces fish oil. (I’ve made the switch) Thanks Claire!
