Hi josh , I disagree a little on the mid cut or collar boots performance not on the support Im with you on that one , I will explain , I am a big fan of playing soccer but I only play in sintétic grass the one that have rubber bits in it , I had used many soccer boots and until they create the mid cut ones with the collar it finally put and end to a big issue for me and other players , The issue is when you play a full match , running , shooting , and doing sliding tackles a lot of the rubber bits enter you boot and cause discomfort on it that will make you loose confront and performance through the match , and if the pitch is hot because of the sun it get worst because the rubber pieces are burning , I see that it could be a little advantage on to a low cut boot . I hope you read it , I love you channel please keep it up

I heavily agree and slightly disagree with the "No boot will make you better" rule. I agree that they wont make you better overall, and its dumb for people to think that boots will just transform them as a player. However, I do believe that certain boots do help with certain things, making certain things easier to do or come off better. For example, when you go from low-end to high-end boots, the feel on the ball and foot is drastic, and that does help you do things better in certain situations. I have even gone from multiple pairs of high-end boots, and can verify that certain boots made things easier to do. I find it easier to do everything more accurately in the phantom visions, simply because the feel on foot and ball are much better from any other boot i've worn.

I'm not discounting that certain boots will feel better/more premium and you'll prefer the feel of certain boots over others. If you're comfortable with the boots that you're wearing, that is an ideal situation. What I'm getting at in this video is exactly what you said, there's nothing you can put on your feet that will instantly make you better.

The support of mid cut boots comes from the sock being attached to the shoe and it restricts your ankle a little from rolling this is because if it has a little bit of literally *ANYTHING* will support your ankle at least a bit

I actually had to remove the laces in the mercurial superfly 8 academy to loosen up the midfoot. Problem is I do have wide feet but my right foot is absolutely fine even with the laces on but the left one was absolutely killing me. I removed the laces and now the fit is perfect lengthwise and widthwise 😅

Good video. Thanks for mythbusting! Its amazing the kind of beliefs people have about football boots. ACC is complete nonsense and I've never seen any benefits to it. As for other myths, I don't think blades really have much more grip than rounded studs. I think its down to the playstyle. I'd also argue that if anything bladed studs can be more dangerous to play in, but only because so many people seem to use them on turf. Another one is people not properly tying up their boots and/or taking off their boots with the laces laced up and then complaining that they've lost or have no lockdown. I couldn't even tell how many times I had to tech teenagers how to properly tie shoes!
