This is amazing that you guys as Australians have never been travelling across Au before and you have never been in these places. Morover you are so amazed by them like a tourist! :) Which is odd in a way but also so funny

Its a big country you know? Most Australians haven't seen half of our country. We feel very blessed to have been able to travel around for so long.

Swimcart is ok.....but if you keep going past, you come to Sloop reef camping area. A lot less crowded, majestic rocks on one side, a little trail down to what is almost your own private beach...a short walk to Sloop rock lookout, and the rock pool....for me, just edges out swimcart

Great video, thanks for sharing. Tassy, like Victoria, also do the 28 days free camping, love it, Victoria and QLD also don't have any National Park fees. Tassie's Trial Harbour Campsite, Liffey Falls Camping, Bolton's Green Campsite, Lagoons Beach Campground, Griffin Park Campground, Diana's Basin Conservation Area and Policeman's Point (Anson's Bay) are all absolutely stunning free camps.

thanks for this. I stayed at a lot of free camps in Victoria. I came for a month or two and it's been nearly a year now. Love Victoria.

@@nigelandsueadventures Lake Lascelles is lovely. So far I would say it is my favorite. Right on the lake near Hope town. Donation with clean well maintained facilities......Lake Burrumbeet is nice. No facilities but drop toilet. Beautiful view. ......Watchem Lake is nice but busy at public holidays. Not a free camp but great facilities. $10 a night UP.

Excellent list!!! Great to see all these spots again. On our Tassie trip we arrived quite late to Cosy Corner South, right next to Swimcart Beach. No spots left so we ended up in the turning circle, just overnight. Got to see the red rocks right near our van at sunset and have a quick walk in the morning after waking up to stunning views out of the panoramic rear window on the rented motorhome. Can't wait to go back one day with our caravan - will be arriving early in the day!!

try and avoid holiday seasons and school holidays, some people ghost their vans, leave them there empty early so they have a good spot for the holidays...not fair, but sadly they don't care

Yeah that’s the best advice!

Loving the videos you and Nigel make Sue...lots of ideas for us. Did you make it down to Trial Harbour on the west coast of Tassie while you were here?

Thanks so much! We didn’t get there, we actually heard it wasn’t that good, but we’ve since heard otherwise.

@@nigelandsueadventures Have a look on Google maps, some quite good photos on there, then you can judge for yourself. there are also some photos of a very popular 4wd track that originates from there, so don't get that confused with the road in lol

Hi Nigel, and Sue it’s a shame that people come to destroy what you’ve come to enjoy specially with shit tickets. I don’t understand why you don’t just dig a hole and makes me wild. You can understand people that own the property shut down these private camps because of stupidity. Unfortunately, I always enjoy your videos keep up the good work from Logan city

Cheers mate, yes it is a shame, we have to work at not letting it get to us. Even if this message just reaches one person who changes their ways, it will be worth it.

There is no excuse for campers not carrying a chemical loo if planning to free camp these days. They are readily available, cheap and easy to use. I will make an exception for hikers travelling on foot otherwise get the right gear, pack it and USE it - or stay at home.
