How did Cubitos leapfrog Dice Miner on both of your lists, while having Dice Miner drop several spots? What was the compelling factor for the drop? (Cubitos dropped 1 for Mike, but I figure that's not too much of an adjustment)

I think that’s due to cubitos having slightly more going on and having a chance to try it with more people more recently so it’s bumped itself up a bit

Oh man, Cubitos reaaaaaally drove home my love for dice games. I get to roll upwards to 15 dice at one time... don't mind if I do! Dice Miner... I'm mad that I didn't play that game sooner this year. TM:AE, I was so afraid of this game but my gaming friends were convinced I would like it, they weren't wrong. It's now one of my favorite games!

I think as the year went we just got more chances to play and each time we played we could see how much we enjoyed it and the changes it makes over the original and now we are all in!

We LOVE The Initiative! That was Emily's favorite of last year. Great list! Dice Miner deserves so much love. I clearly need to give Boonlake another try. I (Doolin) gave up on the rulebook after 45 minutes of attempting to learn it 😬

Favorite is Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos and close 2nd is any soft super flavorful Salt & Vinegar chip brand, Flavor really needs to come through and not be too hard of a chip though. I do like some crunch to it but a lot of the time, salt & vinegar tends to be a really hard tooth breaking chip lol. Ark Nova, Boonlake and Cascadia are also some of the best games I played from 2021, all really stellar games imo.

All dressed is good but I found here in PA a limited edition Loaded Tots by Herr’s that tastes the same. Cheese, sour cream, onion, bacon flavors. Insanely good

Terraforming Mars Ares Expedition definitely is a great game. It's just so easy to play and get to the table. It seems like the only iteration left is a roll and write version.

This one is great but I’ve been noticing a bit of a runaway leader problem, as well as some overpowered starting states. 5. GREAT WESTERN TRAIL*. Would like to give this another go, but the person I know who knows it enough to reteach me always has another suggestion. 😄 4. RAJAS OF THE GANGES*. Just played this once but I absolutely loved it. The person I played it with moved out of town so I really want to play it again! 3. GENTES*. Was super surprised by this one. Really liked it. 2. BEYOND THE SUN. My most played game of this year! So bleeping good. 1. YOKOHAMA. My third-most played game of this year. Just so fun! What changes would I make to this list? Not many. CASCADIA and CALICO would probably switch spots, though now they’ve both been replaced by VERDANT. WILD SPACE should be higher considering how much my group loves it. MEADOW, FIRST CLASS, BARRAGE, and FLAMME ROUGE should be further down, whereas NOVA LUNA, LOST RUINS OF ARNAK, and CODENAMES DUET should probably be higher.
