Great video. Two of my favorite leads of his (so many to pick from) are the similar leads he played in "He's All I Need" from his first album. I first heard that album on Christian Pirate Radio (RIP) years ago while working super late at Microsoft back in 1999. Really miss that station. It was the best Christian music radio station I've ever listened to by far. They were constantly introducing new music and were not afraid to rock.

Thanks for breking down a few of LB's licks. There is no doubt LB is quite the virtuoso (you're not too bad yourself) This may not be a habit, but he definitely calls upon his roots. For example, you can hear it on "Surrender" from All To You (live). Give a listen. At about 5:13 he breaks into almost a bit of Journey's "Lights" . I'm sure that's from the Steve Perry days. I could listen to Lincoln all day.

This is awesome. I will never pretend to play like Lincoln but these exercises will help me get closer and improve my technique. The fast alternate picking of ' Let your Praises Ring' on mostly the high E-string is a workout! Not hard to fret or pick for me but hard to play to speed. Also a tutorial on his superb vibrato would be informative. Just so great. Love Lincoln and his heart and sense of ministry. God Bless. (What I really really appreciate about this is that you have the metronome and the transcription which is so lacking in many 'how-tos').

Awesome video! I'm currently woodshedding the solo from "Everybody Praise the Lord," (the version from "Alive: A Celebration of Worship") and he definitely uses a couple variations of Habit 8 in there!… Some other guitarists that come to mind are Tommy Walker, Jody Davis, Lari Basilio, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Neal Schon, Mark Knopfler, Steve Lukather, or either guitarist from The Eagles ;-)
