I don't know is it work for Fortnite festival, but here's a trick that works in Rockband and Guitar Hero games... 1:03 in solo sections like this, you could hold first fret of the chord and then push other frets like normal. Solos become much easier to play with this technique. In Edge of Glory solo you should try push orange fret, then hold red fret and push "blue, orange, blue, orange, and etc", then after this chord move to hold green fret and push "yellow, orange, yellow, orange and etc". Maybe you will like this technique :) Upd: Oh sorry, i didn't noticed that you use dualshock, it will not work for you. It only works with guitar controllers, cause it have strum bar.

In all honesty i think edge of glory should be replaced with Sandstorm. Not a hard song in the sense of complexity, but the endurance and speed of it makes it one of the hardest songs to play. Thats just me though.

My experience with these as a first time Guitar Hero/Rockband player: Change - I think I only played this once, FC'd it and it never showed up again T_T The Edge of Glory - I was mostly vibing so I didn't realize I'd FC it Breed - Super easy, barely an inconvenience Carry On Wayward Son - Very very fun to play, challenging but still fun Hail To The King - I love this song, easily one of the most satisfying grinds for that solo S.O.M.P - Haven't played it more than twice thanks to the song's rotation, excited to try it again Seek & Destroy - That sudden speed ramp up messes with you, still trying this one One - Still the most fun I've ever had grinding a song, the key is to stay calm when the fast notes pop up Master of Pupperts - Holy speed Batman, stuck at 99% because of the last part of the solo Ride The Lightning - Almost made it, I'm so close, just need to not get fucked over by the Release Keys

@rottedpotato645 Yep it's a huge myth that I see a lot. Some guitarists would say it because they never put time into learning rhythm games, so they'd say it's harder for them obviously. But I've only put around 50 hours into Festival and can already 100% a lot songs on this list, but there's no way someone could play them with only 50 hours of experience on a real guitar

I will say, Ride The Lightning in my opinion is #2, for the sole reason of while yes it’s long as shit and the solo is a whole 2 minutes you have to keep up, the solo is almost all pattern and rhythm and you can get into it after a couple of tries. One is insanely fast in the solo, and Seek and Destroy is a lot more chaotic in it’s solo sections (even if the rest of the song is easier in comparison). Humbly, I’d place em 6-1 Liz Aeterna, Wherever I May Roam, Seek and Destroy, Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, One. That solo speed is still ridiculous to me and I love that Fortnite is giving us a true Guitar Hero experience since we haven’t gotten a good one in a decade.

Hail to the king is super easy except for that one small section. Edge of Glory used to be one the harder charts but compared to some newer ones it’s easy. And I’m not very good at all but I can almost FC Hail to the king and can FC TEOG both on expert. SOMP lead is hard asf. Most of the Metallica songs and GNR songs have really hard leads. Paradise city hardest one for sure.

I have 2 disagreements here (everything else is great) 1. One is barely a top 5 imo. The song is literally 1 section which is still easy. 2. Master of Puppets is harder than ride the lightning. Ride the Lightning is moderate speed trills which means stamina is barely a factor. Master of puppets has more complex patterns.

For some reason, multi-lane solos are easier for me (RTL, MoP, 8-bit vocal, etc.) than the solos that go brrr (One, Cantina vocal, WIMR). My fingers just _can't_ go that fast on their own. 😅 Also: What The Controls? 😂
