You forgot to mention that with the Manaphy egg, you don’t just have to reset Pokemon Ranger again, you have to do it on a whole new cartdrige as you only get the egg code once per cartridge

I can tell you that when I was shiny hunting Rayquaza in US, I DID end up resetting the game the first time it popped up.... I lost about 10 years of my life on that.... fortunately out of pure stubbornness I managed to get it again, after a month more of soft resetting

There are a few innaccuracies in this video.... more than I feel like listing... but I'll at least clear up #1 You don't have to play through any ranger game multiple times to check for Manaphy. That's actually completely unnecessary. All you need is one egg (though having more than one does help) What you want to do is keep trading the unhatched egg between gen 4 games with new files and hope that the RNG details for the egg syncronizes with a Shiny frame on the new file. (Same odds as normal shiny hunting) however it can take anywhere between 10-30 minutes to check the egg on a new game. As someone who's completed a Manaphy hunt..... That hunt is unbelievably tedius and "not fun" not to mention LONG unless you're extremely lucky... x3 I'm happy I got one but that's most of 2 years I'll never get back.

I would like to clear up misinformation about your no. 1 Pokémon on your list - Manaphy. At first, Ranger 2 (Shadows of Almia) does not distribute Manaphy eggs anymore, as the mission was distributed via Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi servers of the DS era got shut down a couple of years ago which means the only way to get a Manaphy egg these days is through Pokémon Ranger 1 (where you just enter a code after completing the game rather than downloading it through Wi-Fi). The actual way to hunt this does not require you to own thousands of Ranger copies, instead you need 4 or 8 copies to obtain 4 or 8 eggs. You use those eggs and trade them to new savefiles, hatch them to check if they are shiny and if not you reset to get Manaphy back in its egg form. Then you create another new savefile on a different Gen 4 copy, trade the eggs over and rinse repeat. It still is pretty much the longest hunt you can do (10 eggs/hour on average) so Manaphy deserves to be high on this list, but since there is a lot of misinformation about this hunt I wrote this comment for anyone who is interested in how it actually works. Yesterday I caught 3 by chaining in x, the day before that I caught 2 shiny Poliwags 5 minutes from each other. Today I caught 1. And I started last week on Wednesday. Shiny hunting is the thrill I miss from Pokemon. It's just so worth it! All those spent hours/minutes/days is totally worth it! To the people who haven't tried it I highly encourage you to give it a try. As of right now i'm currently hunting a honedge by using the Masuda Method. Shiny Spiritomb is an absolute pain, just because of all the garbage you have to go through just to get the encounter. You have to use Diamond and Pearl’s underground communication-mini game thing, and talk to several different players just to get it to appear. There are loopholes, but they require 2 DS systems and 2 copies of the game.

Hitmontop is actually one of the easiest shiniest to get, because in Gen II the Odd Egg has a 14% chance of being shiny(50% in Japan), and any of the baby pokémon from gen II can come out of it. I actually got a shiny Tyrogue in my Pokémon Crystal ROM from the Odd Egg.

You forgot about Jirachi. Only 2 methods were available; Colosseum Peorder Edition which could only give away so many Jirachi but still had a small chance on gba and the Japanese Tanabata Event from about 6-7 years ago.

My first ever shiny was a Mareep in soul silver near the lake of rage. I will never forget that cause I didn’t know it was shiny till years later, I just kept it cause it was ‘different’

I... literally found a shiny Santa hat Pichu... *it was my first encounter and first shiny on that game.* Didn't evolved it because I thought it was rare, now I'm proud of it.

My first ever shiny was a random encounter Deerling all the way back in Pokémon Black (that was 10 years ago… I feel so old). I was up past my bedtime trying to grind up before my next battle, and out pops a shiny Deerling! My first ever shiny I actually hunted for was a shiny Honedge in Pokémon X who I named Chucky. I obtained him via Masuda Method. I still remember the day I hatched him- my mom had called my brother and I for dinner. I told myself “just one more egg…” and wouldn’t you know it, out pops Chucky! When I tell you I screamed, I SCREAMED. I’m certain I unfortunately don’t have that Deerling anymore, but Chucky the Aegislash is still safe and sound inside my Pokémon X (or Y) game.

The info about manaphy was incorrect! It is actually worse. Manaphy eggs are 1 per Pokémon ranger cartridge, not per save game! If you ever traded one manaphy egg through that ranger cartridge, that's it! You ain't getting a new one after a new completion.. (Ps the shiny hunting method for manaphy Uses some shenanigans, where you trade the egg to a new save, hatch it, if it's not a shiny, reset to where it isn't hatched, than trade the egg to another cartridge and hatch it again. Repeat over and over again till it finally shines. This works because it isn't determined if it's shiny while still in the egg, it depends on the trainer ID and secret ID of the save file hatching it. You essentially create so many save files till the secret ID and trainer ID let that little egg shine) Just for clarification for anyone interested :)
