Growing up in South Louisiana, I was always fascinated by cemeteries there. They had such interesting history. Though, being above ground, things could get pretty gruesome after hurricanes. But, I still prefer them to where I live now. And the cemeteries here are still segregated in the 21st century. Go figure.

Love the video! But the Smiley family were actually killed in a tornado that ripped through the town. Not as creepy as the legend but still very tragic... it is believed that the reason you can't get back up if you lay down on the grass there is because Mr. Smiley is trying to hold you down so you won't be sucked up into the tornado... so... kind of sweet in a creepy kind of way :)

Stepp Cemetery in Martinsville Indiana which also lies in Morgan-Monroe State Forest, is considered one of the most haunted graveyards in Indiana and is where I found the closest evidence of anything hereafter and it was during the day. I’ve been a seeker of the unknown for far too long in my life. I’ve given up now, for I’ve spent too much of my own money and time trying to find answers to the great unknown, also going on ghost hunting adventures with people who freak out over every little sound and determine that the place is haunted with no good evidence… you get tired of those people. For people who are interested in Ghost Hunting, my advice is to go alone, when there’s a group of people, they are too loud, annoying and will believe the sound of an owl is a ghost.

So that black angel statue is in Iowa City Lindsay, not Council Bluffs. She has a few urban Legends as well. If you touch her you die if you're not a virgin and if you're pregnant and you walk underneath her you'll die within 7 days ect. The story behind the family buried there is so sad. I do believe that there is also another angel statue in council bluffs I just think you have the wrong set of pictures just wanted to let you know.
