The story behind Robert the doll is honestly more frightening or at least equal to Annabelle's, so I'm a little surprised that he's only an honorable mention.

@JJ_Spams It's a loooong story, and keep in mind this is all coming from a major skeptic so I see this more as entertainment than actually true, but my reasoning is that Annabelle started acting spooky for a short amount of time and ended up behind glass to protect people from her wrath and whatnot. Robert was screwing around with people for years and years. Multiple families. Countless victims. Supposedly neighbors next door to the house he was in would call and say, "Hey, your doll is walking around again, might want to do something about that." Also supposedly he would watch and shout at children passing by. Right now he's held up behind glass (seems to just be a thing people do to haunted dolls) in the East Martello Museum where he is STILL messing with people. If you disrespect him, take a photo without "permission," all that stuff, he will RUIN YOU. There are so many stories about how someone's life ended up in shambles, or just flat out died, because they offended Robert while at the museum. The only way to safe yourself is to....and this is kind of bonkers to me....write him an apology letter. Yup. At the East Martello Museum there is a large wall of apology letters displayed surrounding Robert. So yeah. Robert's a mess. I hope that one day he and Annabelle find each other on the haunted doll equivalent of Tinder and find happiness

Thankfully, the real Annabelle doll hasn't escaped from the Warren museum because, as Newsweek reports, "Annabelle hasn't lived in museum for quite some time. The museum closed [in 2019] due to zoning violations, and the artifacts are now in the possession of the Warrens' son-in-law, Tony Spera."
