I got my first mac lipstick the other week because I had prom coming up and I never usually wear lipstick so I had no idea what would suit me. When I went in, all the girls were so helpful and I tried on a few that they recommended so I could see what suited my skin tone and all that stuff:) just from trying on a couple different formulas, I could tell they were all worth the money!

Niphredil You can't go wrong with MAC lipsticks! Seriously my favorite. My go-to shade is Rebel. It's beautiful and finds a way to look amazing on any skin tone, and even when it fades it still looks great!

The Shisedo foundation is perfect for outdoor activities in Florida. I wear it often when I'm at the beach or on the water-great coverage, but doesn't look like foundation, sun protection, and long wearing!! So glad you recommended this product! Love you, Fleur! 😀

You got me onto the shiseido sun protection foundation YEARS ago and it's my go to summer foundation!! Great coverage, spf & sits on the skin beautifully! So glad it's easier to get hold of in the UK now! Was a pain when I first got it!

If you did a top 5 or 10 products from a few high end brand that would be great, almost like a starter kit or guide to brands. I always get overwhelmed when walking into Sephora, I stay with what I know and hate to branch off because I don't know what to start with when trying a new brand.

You should try the Shiseido Urban Environment tinted UV protector spf43. It is the best tinted moisturizer I've ever try. I have normal to dry skin and oily t-zone area in the summer. Its perfect for the summer.

I have dry skin so I have no personal knowledge of it. It is quite watery and therefore dewy finish. Maybe with a primer it would have some staying power, especially if you build it up. But as I say, cant personally recommend for combo/oily I'm afraid :)

I finally bought the Shiseido foundation to wear on special occasions after hearing you talking about it for years, literally. I have combination skin and the foundation gets pretty oily... I went back to Revlon colorstay, which isn't perfect either, but is better for me than the Shiseido one.

For concealers I would say the Nars creamy concealer? It's a really good coverage for a concealer and really nice to use. I wish I got on with the Touché Éclat but it doesn't really do anything for me :(

My opinion has changed on high end makeup, there was this program a few weeks back and it was about how basically all expensive makeup comes out of the same factories as cheap makeup they just change the packaging.

It may come from the same factory, but it doesn't mean the ingredients are the same. I work for a company that produces components for high end/high quality brands and for lower budget options. Although the same people and same machines make the products, the specs of the actual products are a lot higher on the high end ones.

Some brands and products yes but a lot of things from high end don't have any comparisons in the drugstore - even from brands that own a drugstore brand as well. It's a product by product basis.

Have you ever tried the darker marc jacobs nail polishes? (my favs are Jezebel, desire, and wine not) they are amazing!! On me they last ages (most polish is 24 hours at best on me) & they only need 1 coat for full coverage, perfect look nails! The lighter colours are nice but just have nothing on the darker ones quality wise. They have totally become my biggest beauty weakness since they launched. :)
