You always give me such wonderful ideas. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? I have been into 'traditional' style for decades, and just starting to 'creep' out and explore. I bought a dough bowl and I am having fun decorating for the Seasons with it. My husband really loves my Summer tablescape. I am also using the beads. Next, the candle pillars!! Totally agree about family photos Leslie! I think the things that bring you joy, the things you love most should be there to enjoy and be reminded of. I’ve just rearranged my family photo wall and thought a little more about the principles of design which you’ve mentioned (types of frames, spaces between frames, using different sizes) and I’m so happy with the result.

I love family photos as decor. I don’t think designers have a problem with them but I know relators do because they want the people buying your home to feel like it could be their home and it’s not all about you anymore. I’m kind of like well they need to overlook them lol. I also love looking at other peoples family photos on their walls ❤️

Gosh, I’m full of questions now…when do you sleep? Just how big is your house? Do you have a housekeeper? Did your retire from your nursing career? This was a great video. I was amazed at how beautiful and big your home is; even the basement is decorated! Next, I thought about dusting all the surfaces, books, greenery, beads, etc. I hope you have someone who does it all for you!
