Now that he won't direct the fourth MCU Spider man movie, he could potentially make a sequel to Clown🤡, since the movie ends with the costume being packed in the evidence locker, and in the background, we hear this creepy music before the film cuts to black, implying that there is still a bit of chance that someone else will don the costume. I actually wish Clown gets a sequel.

Writing wise, pennywise will always be the better clown. Watch 2017 it. Its one of the greatest horror movie reboots ever. But art is one of the greatest horror characters in general when it comes to the character and kills

In the miniseries and movies, they toned pennywise down, OG pennywise from the original novel actually does do art the clown shit like gouging children's eyes out, peeling flesh from people's bones while they scream in agony and he even castrates men alive. In many ways Art the clown is actually more faithful to the original pennywise than either the Tim Curry Pennywise or Bill Skarsgard pennywise.

My favorite horror clown comes from a short film called Le Queloune. It stars an undead clown who was resurrected by (seemingly) coke & mentos. It's a shockingly tragic piece because even if he's a zombie, he's still fully sentient and his first thought when he's dug himself out of his grave is to try and get help, realized he can't speak because his vocal chords are too dried out, stumbles to the nearest house to try and get some water. only to accidentally push a housewife down the stairs and break her neck because she's understandably terrified of the dirty rotting clown that's stumbled into her house. He only ever realizes he's grown a taste for human flesh because he fell down the stairs shortly after when trying to help her, and accidentally bit a sliver off her chin. And he only ever intentionally kills someone because he realizes he's never going to have a normal life again unless he steals it from someone else. It's also funny as hell because, well, he's a _clown,_ and the cosmic forces at play remind him of that at every step. He takes two days to dig himself out of his grave because his gloves aren't good for it, and then he has to go back in for his shoes. He still eats the husband and wife he killed, but he insists on cooking them because it doesn't feel right just biting straight into it. When he tries stealing a pair of shoes for his disguise, none of them are his size so he has to stick with the clown shoes. And when he goes out into the world thinking he'll fit right in, it's revealed that multiple other zombies had the exact same thing happen and had the exact same idea, so he's not even as clever as he thought he was.
