This is a cool new series! You should do this more often! :)

I totally agree with you, Tom. That's one of the reasons Roger lost in the Wimbledon final to Rafael Nadal in 2008. That grass court was like a slow hard court. With Roger's reflexes and ability to half volley almost any given groundstroke, he is a master on the faster courts. Just ask the top ten players at the season ending championships.

People don't realize that ATP isn't in control of the quality of these videos, TennisTV is the organization behind this. And seeing as how they make videos for both the ATP and WTA, I don't think the decision is entirely up to the ATP for the quality. We should be contacting them instead of complaining on every ATP video and maybe we will get something accomplished here.

you can set the video to lower quality by clicking the gear in the bottom right of the video.

Well at least there was HD for Roger's 17 slams tribute video. See, they save the best quality videos for him!

man how is nr. 1 that spectacular? kohlschreiber's shot for example was just sick - berlocq's was very good, but ive seen that one so many times already...

you are right i just comment on it why there isn't HD we are in 2012 and we still upload 360p videos

On really fast courts like in Cincinatti nobody today is even close to Fed`s level. That makes you think how many more titles he would have won if they hadnt slowed down the courts the last 8 years.....That being said tennis as a sport and the entertaining value of watching tennis has grown tremendously since the era of just serve and volley.
@selb2312 жыл бұрын
How is it that Berlocq's dropshot at #7 barely gets a clap? That's one of the sickest dropshots ever hit. Fish reads it and still doesn't even get close!
@444JMS11 жыл бұрын
The point is they were never slower in the first place - most courts back then played pretty fast, so technically it does not swing both ways.
@SomeHoboProductions11 жыл бұрын
I think this is the first video where I've seen Gasquet run around a backhand to hit a forehand. That's like Roddick passing up an opportunity to hit a first serve and instead hitting all second serves.

Do you also do it against the best players in the world and playing at their speed? :)

You have the answer, that chanel must be available for everyone and not all computers can run HD videos.

The best I think were the two Argentine Berlocq's ones and the Kolschreiber's backhand

you should upload HD videos not 360p videos these videos did not have a comfortable quality

Yeah I know, at the Finals in London you see the same thing. The other top players cant cope with the pace of the court like Federer. I totally agree with the slowing down of the courts though, but only to some extent, and now I think they have gone far enough. They have to find the right balance between powerful. consistent baseliners and the finesse players who like to go to the net. Imo the courts overall should be a tad faster than they are today....

The only main drawback to slowing down all the courts is that they have pretty much eliminated serve and volley tennis, aside from doubles play.

Mine stays the same. Faster courts = Federer would've won more tournaments. Slower courts/more slower surface tournaments = Federer would've passed pretty much unnoticed.

No. 1 is kinda weak, Fish looked like he could easily reach that shot but somehow let it pass completely. Whenever there's a top 10 shots list in a tournament where Federer is playing, you can be assured that he's going to have at least 2-3 entries.
@relinquis11 жыл бұрын
Kolschriber's shot should be ranked higher...

casing point: shot by Kolschriber at 4:04, I almost garuntee that if there was commentary on that, it would simply be 'great shot', but if it was Federer, there would be a group orge taking place in the booth in honour of the winner. That backhand is 10x the shot that federer did. Also at the end, when they say federer's pass was brilliant, what they should be saying is 'Djokovic is shit at volleying'.

Stop bitchin'. Every video that ATPWorldTour uploads gets trashed for being "too low" of quality. I don't give a crap and appreciate that they take time to upload their videos here. I thoroughly enjoy watching them.
@IAMLS36012 жыл бұрын
that shot at 1:16 described as 'insane' by the sycophant South African commentator, I've done that shot a hell of a lot. It isn't a very hard shot to pull off at all, especially on the half volley. Wish these commentators would cut out the bullshit and stop kissing the open arses of the top 4 players when they hit a simple winner.
