You know, there are truly a ton of factors that have gone into the price crisis. Factors that we haven't even really seen candidates get into this presidential cycle because one of the candidates refuses to talk seriously. And seeded the "business environment" for all this mess to begin with. It's not quite as simple as blue = higher taxes = high grocery prices. But you do have a point. We deserve better, we deserve a president who will not stand by while we, the American people get bilked for our cash. I'm sick of it, too.

Since Trump has been doing the "Will he/won't he" on September 10th to debate with Kamala, I got a feeling on THAT DAY, whatever happens, we will be seeing more shift in the polls. I still disagree with closing the pipeline and restricting drilling on federal lands , which has cost us more than $1at the pump. Truckers have to pay more so the price of everything is higher. That costs us freedom.

But, let's look at the facts. The Keystone Pipeline gave the US less than 5% of the oil pumped while it poisoned our land and water. It was Disgraced Former Guy who told OPEC he would pull military support unless they decreased supply and increased prices. It was also DFG whose failed COVID policies kept cargo ships stranded offshore with food rotting and store shelves sitting empty. DFG is clearly the worst choice if we want to turn the economy around...

I'm sorry but the price of things doesn't "cost us freedom." Not in the same way losing the right to my own bodily autonomy costs me freedom, for example. Having an entire political party trying to strong-arm us into raising our kids and living our lives _their way_ via legislation, book banning, infiltrating school curriculums, and trying to force _their_ religion on the entire country via governance costs us far more freedom on a Constitutional and human rights level than having to limit how many groceries we buy. Those are two _very_ different kinds of "freedom." Basically I'd rather pay more for gas but still be able to make my own healthcare decisions if I'm miscarrying and need a D&C to keep myself from going septic and dying.

The reason gas went up is due to Disgraced Former Guy telling OPEC he would pull military support unless they decreased supply and increased prices after his failed COVID policies kept everyone home and made demand for gas plummet. That's also the only reason gas was cheap under his rule. Another factor was his "perfect phone call" which led to Russia attacking Ukraine. Usually a POTUS is not responsible for the worldwide inflation, but DFG definitely set up the whole thing. Remember, his failed COVID policies also kept cargo ships stranded offshore with food rotting and store shelves sitting empty, and that also caused the inflation...
