The 2006 Hungarian GP was incredible! The best race I, personally, have ever seen... You could not have written a more dramatic set of circumstances even if you wanted to. - 1. Wet conditions, but by the end of the race the track was almost entirely dry - 2. Alonso started 15th, and by lap 6 he was 4th, finding grip everywhere on the track (find the onboard, it is videogame stuff) - 3. Button started 14th, and he too was giving a masterclass on how to drive in the wet - 4. Alonso effectively was leading the GP when he pitted for dry tyres (came out 3rd), but his mechanics didn't put the front left tyre well, making him spin only 3 corners later and retiring - 5. Schumacher was 6th, but way too slow, to the point where Heidfeld passed him, with contact, making him retire as well - 6. De la Rosa, in his first drive for McLaren that season (Montoya had been sacked the race before I believe), ended up in 2nd place - 7. Button won his maiden GP, with HONDA... LEGENDARY RACE

They walked over a world champion just for a privileged rookie! He made them lose 100M euros. Couldn't be more proud of him

How clueless are you? This smile was after Alonso was stripped of pole! He was clearly furious but was trying to hide his anger from the media. Alonso was so angry after this that he tried to blackmail Ron Dennis.
@MT-pv2rf4 жыл бұрын
@@thehdcode7051 uhm....Alonso won ZERO titles after 2006. Hamilton and McLaren won the title the very next season after this. Also, Alonso was treated fairly at McLaren. The problems started because he couldn't handle not being given special privileges from Canada onwards.
@lacoronasl4 жыл бұрын
@@MT-pv2rf You lie. They signed Alonso promising to be the undisputed No. 1. Ron saw that he had a pearl in Hamilton and was at fault for his word. From Hungary there was no equality in the team that started by denouncing its own No. 1 driver and ended by not giving him the same car as Hamilton. There was a gp where Alonso's car even fell on a pale of pieces. That year it was a shame on Ron's part, nothing to reproach Hamilton for, he just wanted to win.

Hungarorin 2006 was one of the most Epic races i Saw. It was pure show all the RACE. We need some artificial rain in F1.

Button, the rain master. He also won the Canadian Grand Prix in 2011 in pouring rain after a drive through penalty, a puncture and many other events in a 4 hours long race (I believe it's still the longest F1 race ever?).
