Quick in his prime was one of the greatest to ever play. Not only is he insanely athletic which makes him so much different from newer age goalies (like Andersen), he is mad clutch! 2012 he sets a playoff record and wins the Conn Smythe trophy during arguably the most dominant Stanley Cup Championship (in the playoffs) ever. Two years late they win another cup after coming back from 0-3 down against San Jose, win another game seven on the road against a great Anaheim team, beat the Blackhawks in seven (on the road again), and finally just rinse the Rangers in 5. Nobody will ever talk about this but Quick in 2018 outshined Fleury during a four game sweep! He was playing unbelievably great, at one point it was double overtime and he had only let in one goal against fifty shots! Arguably the most underrated and under appreciated player of all time!

I'll never forget watching his first game in goal at UMass. He displaced a senior net minder who had served us well, and amongst the faithful there was grumbling about the logic of starting a freshman over Winer. By the end of the first period, the Mullins center was bowed down. This guy is going places. So awesome to see it play out!

Quick and Fleury have similar styles that's why visually, they are very fun to watch specially to the untrained eyes. Price's style is different where he is not as explosif/visually striking but he is soooo smooth that to the trained eyes he just looks inhumane.

@@domenicsimsiris2921 omg thank you! Someone who knows their hockey! Continuing on what you said not only was quick the only reason the Kings were in the playoffs in 2018 but he set the record for best save percentage in a loosing series/sweep. His offense just was dreadful! Further on Quick uses his athleticism, flexibility and high hockey iq to make saves that no other goalie in the league can make. Because of his quickness (no pun intended), speed and flexibility he can play first shots more aggressively while also being able to make a second stop or get to a pass option in time. Guy is the most under appreciated goalie of our time all because he plays on the west coast and isn’t Canadian. And this is coming from me a devils fan. If anyone has a reason to trash this guy it’s me

Honestly, if you exclude his god awful October, he posted really good numbers on a team with the easily the worst defence core (after Doughty). He was also playing lights out right before the season ended, shutting out the Leafs, limiting the Avs to one goal in a stadium series, and overall just playing great!
