Jay Garrick running back in time to Ancient Egypt and meeting Prince Khufu (Hawkman), Teth-Adam (Black Adam), & Nabu (Dr. Fate). And upon his return, Black Adam (who was under heavy scrutiny by the JSA) tells Jay that he was impressed with him now as much as he was thousands of years ago! Geoff Johns was on another level writing JSA!!

My favorite moment for the JSA, if I had to pick only one, would have to be Courtney's birthday party. The whole issue is a perfect send off for Geoff Johns' run. A run that is too full of amazing moments for a list to do it justice.

A great Starting point for reading is when G.Johns (along w/ Dale Eaglsman's RIDICULOUS Top Notch art) Relaunched "JSA" as _Justice Society of America;_ #1-4 encompasses like A thorough 90pg vol.1.. Ishs #5-8 are _Lighting Saga_ tie-ins; Return of the OG Legion (An Awesome Saga that echoes into FINAL CRISIS, I Edit the Lighting Saga wikapedia page if you wanna read the Saga correctly). Ish 9 is A Prologue to The AWESOME _Thy Kingdom Come_ storyline (JSoA #10-23 // plus A Few one-shots). Its basically A Return to Earth 10 & those "Elseworlds" (Multiverse) characters. The JSoA meets their Earth 10 counter-parts. Total Fire! Its essentially A sequel to the Waid & Ross _Kingdon Come_ Classic.. Even though IMO., The sequel by Johns, Eaglsman & Ross is Far superior. Due to the Excellently paced Mystery. As well as the many secrets of Power Girl. It's a DC Top 10 story, On A Top 10 (modern) Creator Run. CHECK IT OUT!

One of my favorites was the Citizen Steel arc (Johns and Eaglesham mostly, if I recall). I think that's what LoT is up to with Commander Steel and the noobie. Pity about the Green Lantern Curse, as the painted "Green Lantern: Fear Itself" fits in nicely. (Good graphic novel that reads well by itself, and explains the JSA over time.)

Wildcat: "To Everything There is a Season" from the Adventure Comics run. The first time we see a JSA-er getting old and questioning his place in the world, then deciding to dedicate his life to inspiring future generations. And those 1970s hair on Richard Grayson, Karen Starr and Helena Wayne is priceless.

JSA: The Golden Age is I think essential reading for the group, even if its technically out of continuity I think it shows the team at its best while also lending the characters some depth aaand giving some good old pulpy plot stuff that really works in context. James Robinson knows how to write the JSA really well and his only modern competition is Geoff Johns, most other writers just cant balance their complexity and old school flavor very well.

Number 7 tears me up every time and embodies everything right with superheroes. No matter how much the forces of cynicism try to corrupt the dream, hope, justice and the idea that good has the power to stand to evil, will prevail. The Boys might be a great comic (honestly, is to wordy for my taste, comic books should not be panel after panel of text), but it simply wont stand the test of time. Kingdom Come will be forever one of the greatest superhero stories of all times because it stands for what we love in superheroes.

another and best jsa moment: flash(1956-85 series) 137,where the jsa reunites alongside Barry and Jay to fight vandal savage on precrisis earth 2.afterwards, the jsa's wonder woman suggests the team reunites permanently to fight evil manaces once more,leading into jla(1960-87 series) 21 and 22, where they team up together for the first time

JSA are my favorite. Favorite thing is their costumes. Very realistic. Nothing fancy or overly stylized. Superheroes today look like fashion models in million dollar costumes that look like a crack team of Hollywood professionals. JSA look like they come from a world where superhero costumes isn't a thing. A very eccentric look. They really look like the first team to don a cape and mask.
