It hurts, actually. I've felt this for years now since Seventeen became more popular. More carats are trying to bring down and aggressively compare our two main vocals when they obviously have different tones and vocal color. Technically they're both good, it's just that they have different strengths. However, Seungkwan stands out as a singer/performer to people who are knowledgeable enough because not only his vocal techniques and prowess are good but also his performance skills. Now, DK has the potential to surpass Boo in technique if he keeps on training and performing classically because he definitely has the voice, the range, and the depth in him. Only if Seungkwan stops training his voice OR if he overuses it though.

Just yesterday I saw a vocal coach who did an honest assessment of the kpop artists with the best vocal technique and he starts by reassuring the fandoms, because many popular groups weren't there. And he speaks so well of seungkwan, for having an almost perfect technique and talks about how DK has an unpolished technique, that his technique is very ambitious and that it can lead to damage to his vocal cords. 🫨

Initially, I was interested in another group, but I noticed that their fandom was too arrogant about their achievements and strengths, so I decided not to follow them anymore. Let's not be like that. Taeil and Doyoung definitely deserve much more recognition... Just to mention Taeil attended Hanyang University as an Applied Music major which is known for being one of the most competitive programs in the country. He beat a competition of 407:1 and out of 5 selected, he was the only guy! I have seen fan made videos about Seventeen casually not mentioning seungkwan as the main vocalist. I have seen people just not responding anymore during online discussions because suddenly someone appreciated or talked about seungkwan for a change. I have seen people whine about and say nonsense when someone says seungkwan is the best vocal of svt but sadly when someone says the opposite as in dk is the best, I have seen no one even mentioning seungkwan, let alone war crying for him. even in this comment section you'll see one comment basically saying that DK can replace sk but sk can't replace dk, which means that to them kwannie is irrelevant and dispensable. the more time passes as a carat, the more I'm seeing it. I always heard that the maknae line is ignored a lot, but I didn't know it was this bad until I became a boosadan and a Doremi stan. edit: clarity of sentence

These are new baby carats and haters who are making up controversies because they only see Seungkwan as a variety idol but don't forget that he was and will always be a singer in the first place. He or any Svt member is totally irreplacable. Old carats know the value of both DK and Seungkwan. Svt won't be Svt even if one is not there. I agreed with you in earlier deputing Seungkwan’s voice outstanding in SVT but this past few years DK’s vocals is equally good example Kidult is a vocals challenge song and the producers gave the hardest lines to DK+ he harmonies and ad libs he got a lot of work to do in that song besides that DK had filled up Seungkwan’s lines when Seungkwan’s absence from stages performance with tension free than SK and u never see SK fill up DK’s lines even one time in their career so my point recently these two have good techniques if you not being biased

BTS was never considered vocal strog group in Korea since debut- they have a somewhat strong rap line- but that's also considered cringy until they gained popularity in US. Those new to kpop thought BTS was the only Kpop group. BTS is overrated and armys know this but they won't ever acknowledge it- so good for BTS!
