Luis makes most singers seem like they're at the very least not doing something right that he is doing right. However, to say that Robert Plant should not be on the list is insane...Plant has incredible range, he is raw power at its finest. Also, Otis Redding? Jackie Wilson? Really? That’s honestly just your opinion...I think the vast majority of people would disagree with you there... Edit: also Michael Jackson may not have the “power” as someone like Tom Jones or Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant, but he is very technically skilled, and therefore a good singer. Another Edit: also, as much as I love Frank Sinatra, and definitely think he should be on the list, Bing Crosby is a more technically skilled a singer, and to the surprise of most, is actually a much bigger influence. Sinatra came in at the end of the popularity of that genre, whereas Crosby pioneered it and even influenced Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, and the list goes on and on. Alongside Crosby’s voice that could soothe a lion and make a raging bull cower, he practically OWNED the entertainment industry. He owned the television stations, he owned the Record companies, he got to decide who became popular and who didn’t, and he was the most popular singer for almost 30 years...so there’s influence and skill for ya. Also, fun fact, because of the way records were sold back then (singles) Bing Crosby is technically the best selling artist ever, with over one billion records sold.

Just buy sound either Elvis or Roy orbison......probably Orbison when he is going high...Orbison was called By other singers the greatest singer in the world during the 70's and 80's...thats when Mercury was alive. You may not like their songs as much, but in terms of sound of the voice Orbison and Elvis cant be topped. Listen to Orbison sing I drove all night or Crying, or Elvis sing UNchained melody...their is nothing more beautiful sounding than that.
