I agree. Except I personally really despise the broodals, I would've just preferred the koopalings as mini bosses, and on the dark side boss rush. The broodals were so random and unexpected. But that's just my opinion. But the story in Odyssey is better and makes more sense since Bowser actually wants to marry Peach rather than just kidnapping her for no reason like in most Mario games.

Pam Hunstrom Mario odyssey is super repetitive, easy, and the story is just so weak- even for a Mario game. The core mechanics just aren’t that great, you literally capture an enemy once just to reach a point the devs intended you to use the capture for and that’s it. No capture is useful and is just there for a split second. And the environments are just so forgettable, dull, small and bland. And the whole point of the game is literally find moons, it’s just a BOTW find Korok but for the main quest. The only thing I actually enjoyed from this game is the costumes and the movement mechanics. Wish they could incorporate Mario throwing Cappy to bounce on it in more games, but without all that capture nonsense. Bosses also suck and are probably the most forgettable and easiest, all with that “three hit to kill” ideal.

I hear people have been recently trashing on 3d world and I'm genuinely confused! It to me is one of finest crafted Mario games that everyone should play at least once. They rarely followed the world theme just so they could focus on level design, the post game was absolutely fantastic, and had some of the best post game levels I've seen in a Mario game. This is just my opinion, but a polished Mario game with 5 chatacters, competetive yet enjoyable co-op, so much replayability, and a mix of fantastic power ups deserves more love then it gets.

Honestly, 3d world has been my favorite Mario game for years. I played it pretty religiously when it came out on Wii U, but when my Wii U stopped charging 😢 I didn’t play it for years. Got it on switch this year and must say it holds up incredibly well, I enjoyed every second of completing that game. And bowsers fury makes it even better!

I would argue that NSMB Wii is still a good game and totally worth to play. Although it isn't as innovative as the ds one, it included some very original powerups (penguin, the helicopter, the ice flower). Although flawed, the coop was very fun and better than previous coops in the series. It also brought back cool mechanics from SMB 3, like the powerup storage and the overworld fights.

Tamed point 2 doesn't make sense, since in some aspects sunshine is actually more linear than Mario Galaxy, it's mission-based which means you can't go to any Star you want, you have to complete star 1 before you can get to the star 2, and you have to finish star 3 before you can enter star 4, etc. Now Sunshine is known for having bad level design at least compared to the other 3D Mario games, and the environment isn't necessarily better, I would argue that Mario galaxy has more unique environment than sunshine, since fludd is a very controversial topic no one would argue that it's better to have it than not, since it doesn't add to the game play that much, sure you use it a lot the game but at what point did you feel "oh it's so good to have this thing in the game", and also a lot of people hated fludd, so that is more opinion based than facts. And if I'm already writing about it the graphics in mario galaxy has the best textures of all the 3D Mario games, just look at 4K gameplay of it from Dolphin Emulator when it's native 4K you can see every detail and it looks better than some of the new 3D Mario games.
