Love your year end lists! Some of my favorite first time Marvel reads from this year include FF by Hickman Omnibus 1, the first 3 Claremont X-men omnis, and the Spider-Man by Zdarsky omnibus. I was originally going to pass on the Zdarsky omni because I already had life story but I'm so grateful that the glowing praise of youtubers like yourself motivated me to pick it up because it was one of my favorite books of the year! I'm looking over my shelves and realizing there was a lot more purchasing this year than there was reading so that's definitely a goal for 2025!

@@ttrain85 thank you so much for sharing this! Hickman’s FF is one of my favorite comic runs of all time and helped immensely in turning me into a BIG FF fan in general! Are you planning on checking out Vol. 2? And Wow! I’m so excited you loved that Zdarsky Spidey book. Some of my favorites have been the Ms marvel omnibus vol 1, ultimate spider-man omnibus volume 3, daredevil yellow, Hawkeye omnibus, and nova origin.

Managed to pick up 7 of those titles this year, although not got around to reading them as I slowly read through other titles I've grabbed. Certainly some hyped runs than I'm excited to read soon though

I've been wanting to get Frank Millers Daredevil run but can't decide to get the two TPBs or get the omnibus. also, I need to get Uncanny X-Force and Chips Daredevil, and of course Donny Cate Venom.

@@gloydorangeboar3136 if I’m not mistaken, Miller’s daredevil is across three paperbacks if you’re looking for just the main run. I used to have them before upgrading to the omnibus. I also recommend all of those other titles 👏👏👏

I have all 3 Punisher omnis by Garth Ennis and the one from Jason Aaron and I finally had the time to read them. Theyre my fave reads for 2024.

@TheComicBookReport tough question, but for me it would have to be the Marvel Knights omni, it was so over the top and funny that I couldnt put it down. The Max omnis are more on the serious side. I prefer a bit of laughter in between. Garth Ennis Punisher is S tier.

Read and enjoyed Ultimate Spider-man Omnis 1-4, Secret Warriors Omni, Dark Avengers Epic Collection, Black Cat by Jed Mackay and Runaways Omni (first half more than the second) and Exiles TPBs 1-9 so far

@@TheComicBookReport I enjoyed DA - I know it’s divisive - which comics aren’t!! - but I just enjoy that era of Osborn being an arsehole. Exiles is uneven. Started well, dipped, came back, dipped again but some nice ideas and some decent art from time to time. Lot of people want an omni..

@@TheComicBookReport Rucka understands the character. His Punisher is a silent and threatening spec op, who effectively performs his mission on the night streets. Rucka's run is dark and gritty, violent too, but not as gory as MAX series are. I also like the new character Rachel Cole-Alves, and her relationship with Frank. Last but not least, the art of Marco Chechetto is amazing. My favourite Punisher runs are Rucka, Edmondson, Rosenberg, and Ennis MAX. There's also a great two-issue miniseries by Marc Guggenheim that I can recommend.
