@ here in the States they are available but at secondary prices. Grizzlor being the cheapest followed by Ram Man. Faker fetches close to the $40-$50 range. I already had all these but it’s good to see this happening. I just need Webstor but I’m not gonna pay $150 for a sealed one because about the time I do that there will probably be a reissue at BBTS for $23.99 😂

@@Dokken1975 oh yeah, i ain't paying silly monies for any figure. I like to play with them a bit (in a grown up way of course. :P ) and customize some of them to certain degrees and if I spent all that on one figure I'd be too worried to even touch it knowing I could devalue it with any mistake I make. :P I don't know what happened with Webstor. I got mine when he was released. Had no idea he'd be become such a rarity that anytime I post a pic of it I get comments all asking where I got it and they'd wish Mattel would reissue him and such. Is he THAT popular or did they just not make many? Or is there some giant shipment of Webstors lost in the world somewhere? :O

@ I heard there weren’t very many of him made. So I don’t know if it’s that and distribution of him that just makes him so rare or what. All I know is I need two of them because I like to have one sealed and have one on display. I’m just gonna keep waiting in hopes that he will be re-released. Mattel has gotta know that people want him, weather they care or not is up for debate 😂

Fisto is a great choice! I was just telling Craig there are so many good ones and they are so close together in quality... Horde Trooper. Fisto. Tri-Klops...one can make a case for #1 for most of them!

Hey AJ👋I love a top 10 countdown and there’s some really great choices in amongst your selection… I 100% agree with your No.1 choice, that Mer-Man is the best figure in the line so far and should be the blue print for everything coming out in the future… I would definitely have the horde trooper in my top 3… but some great choices, non the less. Theres some great figures on the way, but I’d love to see a Masterverse Mosquitor, Ninjor (with cloth goods), Masterverse Prince Adam & Cringer, Masterverse Battlecat & Orko, More Movie Characters (including a better head sculpt for He-Man) And more Revolution, including Queen Marlena…. Lastly, Masterverse Castle Graysull has got to be a give…c’mon Mattel. What a year it was🙌🏼👍

I can't see Revolution Marlena getting a figure by herself but maybe the New Eternia Marlena (shown on the box of New Eternia King Randor) will be somewhat inspired by with some pieces. NE Randor appears to be inspired by Rev Randor a bit at least with the grey streak in his beard and I intend to use him in scenes with Rev figures. :) Mosquitor could be very cool. :D

oh and yeah Castle Grayskull would be great but I can't see any stores stocking something that big currently (especially when I often see Origins Grayskulls shelf-warming in clearance). Maybe a Mattel Creations purchase.

Thanks my friend! And great choices! For my wants this year, my #1 would be a Masterverse Castle Grayskull. (So far Masterverse is the only MOTU toyline without one and I hope Mattel remedies that soon.) And a Masterverse New Eternia Castle Grayskull based on the original Mark Taylor design would be just amazing! For figures itself, Panthor and King Randor (which we already know we're getting) and then a New Eternia Queen Marlena, Princess of Power Adora and Swift Wind, Revolution Apex He-Man and Tri-Sorceress Teela, Snake Men King Hiss, and perhaps my most anticipated... New Eternia Beast Woman! Those are my wishes! 🤞

I wouldn't get my hopes up for Castle Grayskull though, if done correctly it'll be huge and cost a fortune, I don't know how Mattel would bring it to market.

I've had Lyn for over a month and I don't rate her highly at all. She's not worth the money when she costs the same as Battle Armor Skeletor who has so much more. But I like your list overall. :)

That is a great list! Tri-Klops was another one that tempted me to just rank them all. I do practically love every release. They are all so good. In regards to Trap Jaw, I did rank him high in last year's 2023 Top 10. That figure is amazing!

I think he's the best figure of 2024. Actually they could have stopped making Skeletors for a while after that one. But instead they've decided to do 'vintage skeletor' in the very next wave and it's a boring version of the 40th anniversary figure with the weird 'pillow pecs'. Could have gone out on a high there, Mattel with the NE BA figure but nah.

@@GerarRv I don't collect many action figure lines. Masterverse is my priority and I buy almost everything from that and then I buy random bits from other lines, a bit of Street Fighter, couple of Transformers, some unofficial niche stuff like the Count Duckula figure or the Dasin BraveStarr. Things like that. So for all the figures I bought, I'd rate Revolution Battle Armor He-Man as the most fun figure I've played with for the past year, New Eternia Battle Armor Skeletor as the best value and coolest looking figure and the YoloPark The Last Knight Optimus Prime as the figure I'm just in awe of all the details and paint work (and also great value as it was only £53 including shipping from Yolo themselves which is a bargain given the size, sculpt, paintjob, LED eyes, articulation etc when you got folk like Super7 also making non-transforming Transformers for £55 which don't have much of any of that). So yeah, I do think NE BA Skelly is the most I was impressed with Masterverse and figures I bought for the design and armor options and the head and such. My only 'complaint' would be the arms look a bit bare compared to all the armor elsewhere but I had a spare NE Thunder Punch He-Man I used the torso from for a custom and so I painted his red bracers black and gave them to BA Skelly. :)

But last year I bought all 30th anniversary street sharks figures, some New Eternia (Sy-Klone, Thunder punch He-Man, Two-Bad, New Eternia Trap Jaw). Only thing I am missing is some TMNT (I am looking to get Mirage comics TMNT by NECA once they release. The Jim Lawson style, previously sold as a 4-pack at TARGET)

New Eternia figures have really something special going on, but i sense that the new "Vintage collection" line will add a new hardly ignoreable charm.

Vintage collection seems kinda bad so far. Skeletor is just a worse version of the 40th anniversary double pack figure with the 'pillow pecs' and lacks the good things about that one (the metal weapons, the movable jaw), really disappointing especially as it follows Battle Armor Skeletor which is an absolute top tier Skelly. Vintage Zodac looks quite dull too.

New Eternia does have something special going on! With many of them I am in awe in regards to their price point. Only $23.99? Wow! And I can't wait to see the Vintage Collection He-Man. Masterverse has struggled with He-Man before so I hope they nail it this time and he is universally loved. 🤞

Nice list. It's not a "stretch" to say Mekaneck is a good figure. I see what you did there. The skelcons are surprisingly good figures. I didn't expect such care to go into an army builder. I still need to get Battle Armor Skeletor. I love the Bone Throne with Skeletor but I hated paying that price. That Evil-Lyn is such an improvement over the previous ones. It could use better arm articulation though. Snout Spout is great. I knew #1 was going to be Merman. The paint and eyes are particularly great.

I’m sorry to say my most “recent” Masterverse figure is Vykron. I really don’t have the space for these and have been concentrating on Origins when I get any modern MotU. If space and money were no concern, I’d get them all, though.

Vykron is so well made. It is a great one to have. And I hear you about limited space and resources. It is something a lot of us struggle with, including me. And it can be quite a challenge to be disciplined with it!

@ Yep, and I’m not really complaining. I consider MotU my main toy collection, but I consider the vintage stuff the center of it. My current MotU stuff got cut back when I fell hard into GI Joe Classified (a property that was always lower on my priorities, but has raised a lot).

Shame mattel don't want to sell them to the UK. Mattel Creations US stopped shipping to the UK now that there is a UK Mattel Creations site however the UK site doesn't actually stock any Masterverse or Jurassic World so is useless.

I really hate that the Battle Armor Skeletor is damn near impossible to find let alone purchase. It sold out everywhere almost seemingly the minute it was listed and the fact that Ive seen his wave mates on pegs but never him is flipping annoying. I dont get how Mattel has not produced more of him. Especially considering hes a fairly new release and sought after enough to warrant more production on him.

Easily the cartoon collection is the best of the year. A series that mattel should have done 40+ years ago. Instead of the god awful , stunted, grotesque proportioned versions. The cartoon line perfectly captures the esthetic essence of the style guides used by the cartoon production artists and that's why I appreciate it 😂❤

Glad you like it but I couldn’t disagree more. The Cartoon Collection holds nothing for me. The animated looks just feel like dumbed down versions of the vintage/Origins designs and, aside from a few characters that I feel a completioist connection to, they are all easy passes for me.

Cartoon Collection is pretty great overall. And yeah I certainly like the less stunted proportions. My only real complaint is, yes I know most characters didn't use weapons in Filmation, but Mattel could easily include a copy of their already existing Origins weapon in the package so you got something to display them with. The episode-specific accessories are nice but very limited. It's nice that He-Man and She-Ra and Skeletor have their iconic weapons but Hordak doesn't even have his gun-arm? (excellent head sculpt though). I do prefer the Filmation looks for many of the characters over the Vintage toy / Origins versions in some cases. (though others such as Tongue Lashor not so much... oh and I'd be surprised if they release Jitsu in the CC line cos :P ) Also the Cringer toy is adorable

Oh, we got very different lists. Lyn came bottom of mine for the entire 2024 lot. I was REALLY disappointed with her. She's so bland. The single jointed elbows mean I can't even get her to do the same pose my other Masterverse Lyns do. And she comes with zero extras to change her look up a bit like most NE figures do. Not even an extra head with her hair or an actual facial expression. I don't like the face much on her too, the eyes look a smidge too far apart and she just looks bored. I just can't believe she cost the same as Battle Armor Skeletor (my personal fave figure of 2024 in sheer design and quality) who has greater mass, articulation, accessories, even head with removable helmet and movable jaw. Where did all her budget go? Making new WORSE arms? And those crappy arms are gonna likely get used for Teela. You don't even mention that huge drawback. She's not even the best female figure in Masterverse in 2024, Snake Teela outclasses her in every way (despite lack of waist swivel and also feeling a bit light for the price). A lot of people have got QC issues with that Lyn's helmet being glued on at the wrong angle given her a huge forehead too. I dunno. 2 and half years we waited for a woman in New Eternia and doesn't seem worth the wait. "We have been in love with William Shatner's performance" He did alright but that albeist/racist prick doesn't deserve any love from me after his constant attacks on the autistic community over the past few years. The figure is fine but not a fave. Not much play value. Mekaneck is fine but just boring as Mekaneck always is. The vintage toy had that somewhat satisfying play feature of extending his neck but with it replaced by segments you have to manually add it's never been quite as fun. Sy-Klone is a fun figure. 2024 was a bit of a Sy-Klone year in general with his Origins figure too and his prominent role in the Revolution comic. And this Masterverse figure I think is the best he's ever had. Love Emperor Hordak but why is that long costume piece down his front weirdly curved on some figures like yours and mine but then I've seen it completely straight on others? It's odd. Overall though the figure is very striking if not the most posable. Battle Cat can be considered a vehicle? I've never thought that before. Hm. Nah, I don't see it. "Primate-like shape of that new head"? What? I thought that throne Skelly has one of the best head sculpts he's ever had. I love it. He's easily my fave Skelly right after BA. The whole throne set is one of the best MotU products in years. Snout Spout is great but yeah the elbows suck. Overall he's pretty cool which is not something I ever thought I'd say about Snout Spout of all characters. Mer-Man is really good and I like him a lot more in person than in the first photos but he's not a fave. I do love the blended color on his skin but wish his armor was more contrasting. For pure play factor I've found Battle Armor He-Man to be the best overall. I think he's a fantastic figure and he's the one I most pick up off the shelf, pose, swap the armors and just have fun with. Ok you gotta get a sword from a previous figure but that's fine and the axe he has is the best one they've ever done too. Ok his face is a bit 'chinny' but that was easily fixed. Love the Skelcons. Been waiting decades for a figure of them (that was easily affordable unlike the Classics) and yeah had to grab me a couple. Those and the Horde Troopers (which are in my top 10) are fantastic army builders. Given how most collectors buy multiples of such figures it's always been odd to me that some companies don't focus on them a bit more. Where's some Palace Guards? Or Shadow Beasts? I would think easy money? You almost always get some guy who buys the entire stock the store has though and leaves none for other people (Origins Horde Troopers had that happen). :P Anyways yeah, ok list, but we all like different things I guess. NE Mer-Man does too in some ways mainly due to the paint and sculpt that has him almost looking like one of them fancy statues rather than the articulated action figure he is. They're cool. Along with Snake Teela and Man-Of-War (one of my personal faves that most people don't seem fussed by) that wave is easily my fave in Masterverse ever. :)
