In today's video I will be discussing 10 of my favorite Heavy Metal EP's. In my opinion, these are the 10 best metal EP's! There have been a lot of really great EP's released over the years like Metallica's Garage Days Re-Revisted, The $5.98 EP, Slayer's Haunting the Chapel, Mercyful Fate's debut and Celtic Frost. There have even been some great recent releases like Ghost's Popestar, If You Have Ghost and their upcoming EP release Phantomime.But there are also some great lesser known EP's released like Savatage's The Dungeons are Calling. Here are 10 of my favorite's. Enjoy!

Tool is definitely a polarizing band. You either love them or hate them. They are one of my favorites, but Opiate is a little different from the rest of their material. Yeah, Savatage The Dungeons are Calling is a great EP🤘🤘thanks for watching buddy!

The Dungeons are Calling is actually my favorite Savatage album (EP) after Hall of the Mountain King. I bought Dungeons after Hall in the late 80's. Classic stuff.

Do not know much about Ghost but I did see them live with Iron Maiden and they sounded great. I love a the thrash EP's here and they are staples in my collection. Tool is a great band but I do not own any off their stuff. Surprising to some that know me that AIC EP is divine and that is one of my favorite go to EPs when I want to hear something more mellow. What a great and well put together video. Absolutely love this video.

Thanks you so much for the kind words buddy! I just upgraded my editing software. I am trying to do something a little different than most people are doing on KZbin. I actually record my audio while commuting to work. Hopefully with the new software I can make things more visually appealing. I freaking love Ghost, I know a lot of the metal community has turned on them once they started having some mainstream success. Thanks again buddy!

Savatage guitarist Chris Caffery played a demo back in 2022 titled "The Dungeons are Calling...Again!" which hinted a new Savatage album on the way, also all tracks on In the Sign of Evil was re-recorded in the 2007 album The Final Sign of Evil along with additional unheard 7 Sodom tracks from that era, anyway my list. 1.) I saw Chris Caffery last night with TSO, sadly I heard that the new Savatage album has been delayed due to Mr. Oliva’s health issues. EPs were something I owned as a kid. These days I rarely listen to them but it's just because I forget. Some I had in my teens were Kreator - Out of the Dark... Sacred Reich - Surf Nicaragua Metallica - 5.98 Helloween - Mini LP. I still love all those now. That Metallica got me into Misfits too. They are great at covers actually.

I haven’t checked out Kreator Out of the Dark. Surf Nicaragua I listened to a lot when I was a teenager. Metallica is probably the best cover band in the world with Disturbed a close second. Thanks for watching buddy!🤘

I don't find it to odd that Joe Satriani produced a metal album considering there's a whole lot of heavy guitar players that put him on their list of inspirations. Just saying, but at the same time I see their point. At first glance you'd think it's a typo. I wish more non metal guitar player would do this, it would be awesome.

I think that Joe Satriani was also Kirk Hammett’s guitar teacher also. I actually didn’t know that he had produced any albums until I read the liner notes. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
