Me too I'm also at college and I've always loved Minecraft. Hah I'm a female in my thirties now and I still play Minecraft, I just love it! I love the freedom to build any thing you want, the peaceful soothing ambience, feeling like a God in a fresh new world, the great pride and sense of achievement from a successful build, etc, etc. I plan on building a complete recreation of the RMS Titanic not to mention many other rather ambitious solo builds that will probably take me years lol but it will be worth it. There's just something about Minecraft that gets me in a really peaceful zen state of mind. But don't get me wrong, if you play with family and friends, it can also be completely insane, loud, crazy, fun. But with creative mode I just love the freedom, imagination and creativity. It's especially a great relief to play Minecraft especially after a hectic day. You can just let your thoughts and worries disappear for awhile and give yourself something to focus on leaving the brain free to think and breathe if that makes sense lol. It's an amazing game - its great fun but it's also great for relaxation and peace. Kids love it too so I can chat away about Minecraft with my younger brothers, and we all really bond over it and they think I'm super cool lol so yeah, it's great! It's like mind Lego lol Lego for the mind and soul. We all love Minecraft! :-D

I'm working on a city bigger than Titan City (sorry if it sounds big headed) it will cover the whole map and has taken me 1 and a half years so far with no mods on the Xbox 360. Wanna help? So far it has a to scale airport, skyscrapers, a man made river and we're working on a stadium like Wembley. Our next builds will be a theme park, historic buildings, farms and random stuff.

If I had to pick my all time most mind blowing minecraft creation it would have to be *Letters From a Dead Earth.* The map is this impossibly massive post-apocalyptic world. It's impossible to describe the level of detail that went into every individually furnished building over the course of *eight major cities* and *ten minor towns*, with countless secrets hidden around, mainly hidden books, as the title implies.

I really don't want to denigrate anyone's particular pastime, but I personally don't understand why you'd spend so much time on stuff like this when, with the same amount of time, you could get some free development/modelling software (eg Blender and UE4), learn the basics, and create stuff that is so much more sophisticated. In short, I'm just not sure why people invest so much time, intelligence and creativity into something with so many inherent limitations.

Robshae Jefferson I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with in that first bit; I'm not denying it would have taken them years of their spare time, and I'm sure they do know of more sophisticated methods. As for the last bit, I suppose that's just the bit I don't really understand. Which is fine! If people get different things out of their creative pursuits for different reasons, that's totally cool. I just can't identify with it.

Buffoon1980 I agree somewhat to what you're stating having been brought up in the early 1960s. My guess is Minecraft is this generation's Lincoln Logs and Erector sets. It inspires creativity and could last forever, so long as there's a place with the storage capacity to hold it. Some of them are could become really good architects in the future.

Wow, this list was actually a lot better than I expected, besides Tetris. How on earth did that make it on the list? It was a puny little minigame that probably just used a bunch of spawners under the ground and a button at the start. There have many more minecraft minigames that were better than that even since Beta, and by the time that one was made, there we're complete recreations of actual videogames in minecraft. I could have built the Tetris game myself in an hour. If you want to see real redstone minigames, check out Hypixel and Sethbling.
