Matthews has a nice career ahead of him, but he'll never be on Patty's level, hell Matthews ain't even gonna be on Mike Modano's level if he don't get out of Toronto, and he's arguably the second best american born player to ever lace up the skates.

As a Kings fan it was the best hockey I’ve ever seen! Two beyond star-studded teams, incredible offense and defense, (and incredible goalie in Johnny Quick)! Growing up in Toronto (where they sucked) my two fav. teams were these two, so many likeable players. So many of them may not get the credit they deserve (like people saying Bergeron is better than Toews) but they got IT DONE on the ice, which is the only thing that matters! Four cups in four years, five cups in six, truly incredible! Too bad Kaner got that 2OT winner in game 5, or else that one would’ve went seven as well, no doubt. Kings deserve more respect, they are forgotten unfortunately.
@collixioncowboy3 жыл бұрын
@@domenicsimsiris2921 agreed. the kings decline was rapid but what they did in those 2 cup winning seasons was nothing short of incredible. barely making the playoffs as the 8th seed and running through everybody to win the cup in 2012 and then winning 3 straight game 7’s on the road in 2014 all just to soundly beat the rangers in the final to win the cup deserves respect.
