It is harmful to change front to 1 and back to 7, this is a really bad combination. By doing this your chain will get criss-crossed and the chain will soon be damaged so don't do this. You should use 3 with 7 or 2 with 7 and 1 is used for low gears like 1,2,3 and 4.

Even though you have mudguards your back will still be dirty from rear wheel water splash. If you really want your back to be clean, find full fenders otherwise it's just waste of money .I have been searching for full fenders for my 27.5 hybrid since last 3 months and it's tough finding them . Either those available are way to expensive (₹3000+ on bumsonsaddles) or the quality is poor. Can anyone please help ??
