Seriously if Russian air defenses did not work then a big part of Russia including parts of Moscow would be a burning hell these days looking at the frequency of Ukrainian attacks throughout the armed conflict. Almost all of them do get intercepted by Rus defenses being unbiased. Arrow-3 is more intended for MRBS than all types of ballistic missiles, although Israel initially wanted to make it as an interceptor of nuclear warheads, but still has not worked out. Meanwhile, Russia has long had a system for intercepting intercontinental ballistic missiles in the form of A-135 and A-235, which also shoot down missiles in space, but fly further in theory. And those systems that are on the list can most likely mainly only shoot down MRBS, including the Israeli one.
