Hey! Thanks for the interesting video and new inspirations! Aeterna by M. Wallace looks incredibly intriguing! But like you, I’m also eagerly awaiting the continuation of the South Tigris saga. The Polish editions are being released with a delay compared to the English versions (Scholars is still in pre-order here). Inventors will likely be in Polish as well, but not until next year. And I was really excited to hear the announcement during Garphill Games' live stream about expansions for each game in the trilogy, as well as The South Tigris Moonsaga, which will combine them into one campaign (similar to how Tomesaga did for the West Kingdom).

Scholars is such a good game, we really hope you experience it sooner than later! We will be receiving Inventors in the next two months, so expect some coverage!

Loved the video.....Flatiron really interests me as most of my gaming is 2 player with the wife. I love the enthusiasm you have for the variuos designers I'm very much the same,its normally the first thing i look for in a new game....also love the banter between you it shows a real passion and love of the hobby. Thanks for a great vid.

Another great list. I have played stupor mundi on bga and the game rocks. But according to bga it will be published in 2025. All in all a great game i really recommend it. 1984 really hyped me as i find the book one of the best i ever read. If it matches the atmosphere of the book i think it will be auto success. Scholars was also featured in greek community collaboration video 😉

Thank you! Indeed, 1984 is such a good book! We hope the game lives up to it! Yeap, indeed regarding Stupor Mundi and some others in our list - we simply make this video once a year 😉

Great list. If you two are going to Essen, Smoky Valley will (finally) be available for demo. 😳

We will keep our eyes open for it! Fotios has already preordered plenty of games for Essen pickup so now I am not sure how we can afford not to go there!!

@boardgamecourt The games in 2024 that look interesting to me are: Yokohama 2nd Edition Mesos Deep Shelf Seers Catalog There are others that will be announced (Speakeasy by Lacerda, eventually Smoky Valley) but they are going to be released after 2024

I am not excited by too many new games. I think only Arcs, because it looks very innovative, interactive and elegant, as most Cole Wehrle games do. Martin designed some of my favorite games, Brass, Age of Steam and Automobile, but I do not get excited by his games anymore, quite sometime since he made something I like. I think I could like Anno 1800, but it never came to Brazil.

Anno 1800 is great and so different from other games

didnt garphill say that the "east" trilogy was about the byzzantine empire (east (!) roman empire)? So eastern europe is not really off
@boardgamecourt2 ай бұрын
We weren't aware of this!!! This sounds quite interesting! On a similar matter, Fotios, being originally from Greece, once asked Shem if he would ever consider a greek-themed installment for the Ancient Anthology but it seems that this is not in the immediate plans of Garphill!
@turtleandbear11792 ай бұрын
@boardgamecourt haha I don't really know the designers outside of their games. It was more by chance that I just happened to see the interview where this was mentioned about the byzzantium. So maybe I have a false perception on them as people. But maybe Fotios should ask Sam not Shem. Bc the impression I got is that Sam is more like "oh and we wanna do this game and see if we can do this game and one more project over here..." and Shem is more like "let's just finish this project and then we'll see"
