The Asian contemporary high jewellery artist’s creations are as much precious miniature sculptures as they are jewels to be worn. Inducted into three of the most prestigious museums globally, namely The Smithsonian Museum in Washington, The Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Cindy Chao’s hand-sculpted wax-cast handiworks have captivated collectors and jewellery enthusiasts for the past 17 years. Her jewels have also sold at record prices at international auctions. A feast for the eyes, each of Chao’s pieces sparkles and surprises at every angle with their sculptural form and unexpected gems. Starting each piece with soft wax, she would mould and form it until she was satisfied with the smallest detail - just as an artist would work on a sculpture. With an extraordinary eye for proportion, volume and movement honed from a young age at her sculptor father’s workshop while being influenced by her architect grandfather, Chao’s jewels push the boundaries of craftsmanship and come to vivid life like no other.

Hi my friend Andrew! This is some new form of stunning, 'high jewelry', I guess that's better than fine jewelry lol. She had me at the cabochon emerald. Had to look up chameleon diamonds, they do exist. As usual I like one that is not the top pick the best, I love the #2 peony brooch, you know how I adore rubies!
