Nightmare Geese's shippuken in 02 um is pretty good too. You can spam 4 of them and since their angled you can time them to cover the whole screen and avoid other horizontal fireballs. Plus they also OTG

Technically, Magaki's fart spheres could catch Orochi off guard since they can hit the opponent from behind, his Harae doesn't have a hitbox behind him (Magaki also has a full-screen SDM)

It's no surprise that Orochi is regulated to the Orochi saga games. His moves by themselves are already enough broken. The only reason why he's kept in check is the AI.

Gravity Smash has to be my favorite of the list. There's just something so cool about the windup and then the pitch. A shield that turns into a ball of lightning? Just too rad. And hey, I'm starting to notice a pattern. It seems like Lucky is always on these lists. He's such a darkhorse, but I think he's the reason why people want the American Sports Team back.

Mizuchi's version of Harae is also pretty Good...when the boss himself throws it. Cuz once you take control of Mizuchi he becomes pretty...weak. The projectile erases every other projectile but it does a lot of damage only when it's the CPU Mizuchi who uses it.

Two problems: Mizuchi's Harae is harder to input, and Mizuchi himself is not from a KOF game, but rather from Neo Geo Battle Coliseum as an original character. But then you'd argue "But he looks like Orochi and plays like Orochi..." well that's because Mizuchi is a CLONE of Orochi made by WAREZ, the organizer behind the NGBC.

13:19 it's easy to avoid gravity crush. The way I do it is by waiting for the perfect time to use Athena's reflector to send it back at him but I make sure I'm far away, I keep doing it until time out😂

Sliding attacks are also its ultimate undoing. Even better if the sliding attack knocks down. Iori’s low B enables him to duck completely under the move as well.

Cool video. But you should have mentioned Athena from Kof98/KOF98UM/KOF98UM FE. You can make her fireball unblockable by whiffing her command grab or doing teleport while the fireball is on the screen. You can do unblockable setups with her fireball that can led to combos. WolfGang Krauser can also do unblockable fireball setups

Igniz's fireball is also deadly with how quick the start up animation is and the damage it has especially in 2k2UM (he can even use it downards to knock you down by changing its shape and fire it from his coat)

Kensou had the best non charge projectile imo in KOF 94. Blocked sweep follow with weak projectile and counter jump in with either anti air or DM. Pretty much how I blew through most of the arcade mode in 94.

Question, what is up with the screen resolution for this video? I really commend the “perfect pixel” for the Classic KOF gameplay footage to be really sharp in High Quality but for XV footage, it looks off and the numbers with the projectile name look cut off at the bottom left. Hopefully it should be fixed soon in future videos.

That's just the fg term for it, it means projectiles. Similar to how most rising uppercuts/anti-airs are called Dragon Punches or DP for short. It's a decades long tradition, heck alot of ppl use it for non-fgs too, cause its also part of vg culture not just fgs. So yeah that's why.
