At around 11 or 12 I got out of Pokemon cards and wanted to give them up. My dad told me not to because if I kept them for 20+ years they might be worth something and he went on a whole thing about how he should've kept his baseball cards and is regretting. All I could think was “How could these cards ever be worth something?” so I gave them to a friend and never saw them again. I should've listened to dad.

No... A) these prices are inflated B) theyre only for first Edition, majority of cards where not first edition c) its only for grades psa10. Psa 10 is rare straight out of a pack. And even if you pulled a psa10 back in the day, children immediatly make tiny scratches on the card. Chances are your collection was psa 7/8 at best which makes them like 20 dollars per card

This brings me tears. 😢 I was forced to sell my binder that had all these first editions just to be where I am now. It was a bad situation. Happened 2017. Seeing this video and just knowing what the cards are worth today. Just makes me sad. If I were to go back in time and bring one thing back with me to this present day. It would have been that binder.
