I think my figures from the Ghost are just floating around in a box. Crazy to think how the sets from the last 10 to 15 years are going for these days. The Emerald Knight is one I let get away too soon. Had bought 4 to have the extra cars but "accidentally" sold 3 of them when it discontinued. Forget to take them out of the store. The Minecraft stuff is crazy. Wow

My name is also Mark! Born 91' I got huge nostalgia from the Rock Raiders! I have that same exact set! I remember in 1999-2000 my mom put all the Rock Raider's / Jungle Adventurers sets on lay-away at Wal-Mart or K-Kmart for Christmas. I have to rebuild that Rock Raider base it's all mixed up in numerous Lego containers. Had no idea how valuable my sets could be!

The Kanan in the ghost appears to be the black-haired variant which is worth $200 alone. That increases the price of the overall set.

These prices are so absurd, I really hope people don’t watch this and actually think this is how much these sets are going for. Most of these prices are higher than the HIGHEST price on bricklink. I also really love how they say “we don’t make these prices up” like, nah dude, you definitely do. Please try again.
@andrewkaminskas77212 жыл бұрын
nope, people pay. just because you dont have money doesnt mean others arent willing to throws their wallets at lego sets. I sell some sets on ebay and always put a best offer option and i'm surprised how often someone just outright pays the price and doesnt try to haggle me down.

These are factory sealed. I want that Emerald Knight. I found one on BrickLink and they want $780 before shipping. Sorry but you’re kinda wrong 🤷🏾

You underestimate Americans and their materialistic lifestyle. Plastic bricks that take a few cents to manufacture drive people crazy to where they’d spend hundreds and thousands in order to own 4 plastic pieces. It’s the same thing as Pokémon cards. It’s just a picture with a creature on it but people will shell out thousands for just one. Not hating on anyone here, just saying what it is, and obviously it’s more than just Americans. The rebels sets are a fantastic example of this. People hated the show and sets originally, but now they are some of the most expensive SW sets. You’re right that it’s absolutely ridiculous that a grown 35 year old man is going into debt for a plastic toy, but it is what is and if people want to spend their money that way then they can

Great videos guys. Really enjoyed that. Yeah hard to believe such a relatively new set (that Minecraft one) is worth so much already. Funny, I remember watching another video on KZbin (maybe 12-18 months ago) and they called out the same set as being valuable which was only going to get more expensive.

doing some research related to Lego so thought here would be a good shout. Is it common for your lego sets to sit incomplete after the initial build (due to things such as dropping your sets or taking pieces of your sets to build something else)? If there was an app for your incomplete models to be scanned to determine the missing pieces, would you be willing to pay to have the missing parts and instructions shipped out to you (this could exclude the parts that were missing from the set but found in your collection)?
@kcrossley26342 жыл бұрын
I don’t have one of my new purchased sets with a missing piece because I treasure them but sometime I buy a set secondhand with missing pieces either having been told or just finding out during building. Sound like an interesting concept - Bricking it app I have used in this way. Are you aware of that app?
@dominicbruce75582 жыл бұрын
@@kcrossley2634 Thank you for the feedback. Brick It was a big inspiration. This theoretical app would require BrickIt's technology and compare incomplete sets to official virtual sets (need to be partnered with Lego) and determine missing pieces by process of elimination. This is just my SharkTank idea for a uni project unfortunately so my battle of Endor set is doomed to remain partially built.

Nice video.. but all the prices they are talking about ..are so wronggggg LoL 😝 They can creat their own market for their store… but for Lego After market , Bricklink etc..their prices are sooooo wrong! Great store to visit tho as an experience.. but i didn’t bought anything when i was there..just because their prices are so high .. Unfortunately or not..for all those kind of stores .. Bricklink creates the market..and for people they know about Lego..they don’t need to buy form there!

As much as I would love to visit their store and they seem like really nice guys, from what I’ve seen and heard they give way below market value for trade in and new sealed sets and overprice the sets way over what you would expect to cover “the bills”. Obviously seems to be a good business model if they are still going. I suppose it’s a premium you pay to know what your getting on the spot.
@TrueLegoXman2 жыл бұрын
I am here to correct a statement about the Mountain Cave. In particular, the charged creeper. A new set was released that includes a charged creeper, so he has dropped in value to about $30.
