I'm glad you made this video to confirm what I have. So, well over a year ago maybe two. The creators of Metazoo sent me clear packs of Metazoo cards to review on my channel. I got them in the mail and took a quick look at the top cards in the clear sealed packs and put them off to the side, never made the video the owners asked me too... I ended up losing the packs for over a year until today when I was looking for some magic cards I happened across the mettazoo packs. I opened them on camera today cause I was so excited I found them. Oblivious to their true value... That black border mothman holo, I got that along with many other black border sample cards that came in the 10-12 packs I received. Pretty exciting! Thanks for sharing this video. The metazoo video will appear on my channel within 48 hours.

Damn, that's wild! Glad the video was helpful :) My brother and I have really been exploring and we have noticed a slight downward trend in things. I think right now, it's very collector focused and driven. But if they really focus on building up an audience of players, that'll significantly improve growth and stability. Too many people not opening packs to save Wax investment, or what have you. Grats to you on the solid pull, sad I wasn't doing cards back then to have benefited too :P

They're likely referring to the Red Ink card. Only 100 were printed, very rare. To give an idea, a PSA 9 (a NINE!) sold for 12k on Ebay on December 3rd. The best thing would be to grade it and protect the crap out of it, that's for sure. You could sell raw, but if you think there's a good chance at getting a good grab, definitely worth it. Although it will cost a lot more to grade due to the expected value. Likely around 15-20k atm.

Red Ink is super rare as it’s print run limited. Wendigo full holo (background is foil) is the top chase. Psa 10 goes for about 400-600 depending on the buyer

48k for a sample mothman...there has a been a metazoo stamped mothman sample on ebay for 60k. Better buy because it's a single digit print..

Damn that’s steep. As a note all prices are what they’ve sold for so this doesn’t include any active listings. Better to know what people are willing to spend than what they’re willing to sell for to inform the market. 1/1 is so hard too to get an idea of price, see it lots in sports.

What’s the investment level compared to Pokémon ?

It’s still growing but there’s potential. One thing to consider is metaZoo has a larger investment population than Pokémon likely did at launch. The real money will be in extremely limited items like kickstarter cards. But say 1st edition cards like a Wendigo, the population is likely much higher than a comparable card at the time in Pokémon

It’s like investing in a start up or apple. Apple has less growth but is more stable and proven. Whereas a startup isn’t stable, no guarantee, and may fold in three years. I’m no expert in metaZoo but there’s some good communities out there and a discord you could check out for insight

@@CanadianCardPickers awesome thank you for the advice I’m late to the party but I got a hanger at Walmart with the promo card in plastic and 3 packs and I really did like the cards honestly idk if I’m going to switch but if I ever see meta zoo I’m definitely picking it up just seems very very hard to find ! I also love how they do 1st edition something that brings back so many fond memories I’ve done mtg yugioh sports fortnite etc,although my first and true love has been Pokémon

I have 10 box metazoo cryptid nation 1st edition sealed ,I have total 16 box or metazoo cryptid nation 1st edition,I open 6 box,and 10 box that I keep it sealed .

They've definitely already dropped. The difficulty compared to Pokemon for instance is at the beginning of Pokemon people weren't thinking collect. It was just a card game for kids that liked Pokemon. Only those with insane foresight would put stuff aside. With MetaZoo, if it carries on there's some potential, but too much population of the key chase items so it's tough.
