Pronouncing fragrances in french is most of the times the right way when its a french brand or name. Don’t apologize. I see it as a respectful gesture to the perfumer by pronouncing it how he would. And since you KNOW and Can , I say do it. For the rest of your words it is also logical that you take over from your BF. From the people complaining, sure 80% are jealous cus such an accent is beautiful either way.

Great recommendations Demi. I have Minuit et Demi (my favorite) as well as Absolute Aphrodisiac and Spiritueuse Double Vanille and will try some of the others in your video. And Demi, as aside, I know you have dreams of moving to New York one day, but believe me, you and Pierre are probably safer and better off right now in Dubai. As an American I hate say this about the once great NYC, but its glory days are behind it. Around 320,000 people left New York in 2020, a 23% increase from the year before. Violent crime is through the roof and the new "no bail" rule has released violent predators onto the streets. The taxes are insane, so both the wealthy as well as middle class people are fleeing in droves. Stay in Dubai or perhaps move to Paris. Almost anywhere is better than the once great "Big Apple." I hope it will make a comeback, but until then, I'd say where you are.

I know and own most of the fragrances from your list and they all really good 👍Some other good gourmands: Xerjoff Naxos, Coffee Break Golden Dallah and Overture, Kilian Black Phantom and Black to Black, M. Micallef Watch, Fragrance Du Bois Santal Complet, Maison Francis Kurkdjian Grand Soir, but the best of the best gourmands is for me Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud (it's smells like the finest pastries as example fresh Pasteis de Nata, portuguese puff pastry tartlets filled with vanilla pudding 😋 ).

Nice video! I hd the opportunity to compare Xejoff Italica to Symphonium and while I loved both, I did an A and B of Italica vs Kilian Black Phantom (which has many similar notes to Italica) and found they smelled very similar at several stages of progression. In both fragrances the almond and toffee/caramel notes dominate, while we get milk and saffron in Italica and coffee and rum in Black Phantom. Since I already had Black Phantom (and MFK BR 540 Extrait, which also has a strong gourmand almond note) I was not convinced I needed Italica. But wow it is a great fragrance and they even make it smell like the butter in shortbread - ie it really smells like a cookie! But I also tried Xerjoff Symphonium and was blown away! I disagree that it is just orange and chocolate, it has some clean soapiness that reminds me of Fragrance du Bois Heritage and also the oud and vanilla dominate about 8+ hours in. To me Symphonium is vastly superior to Italica and Heritage in that it is so much more complex, going from almost pure orange juice to green Indian cardamom (as in Kilian Intoxicated) and chocolate, and then into oud, musk and vanilla, - shocking elegance, worth every penny. The crown jewel of Xerjoff.

I love this list and I had not heard of Teo Cabanel. On their website it said that it comes with a sample so you don’t have to open the package and can return it if the scent doesn’t suit you. So you have made me really curious about that CH line 😊 P. S. I tried Comptoir Sud Pacific Amour de Cacao today - it is edible gourmand. Unfortunately the cocoa note is lost after 10 min, what I get is a lovely Christmas nutty cookie sprinkled with vanilla sugar 🤷‍♀️

A secret life hack I learned is take one of these really sweet gourmand fragrances and layer it with a fresh/clean fragrance or powdery/floral fragrance. Then it really makes them perfect and balances out the sweetness. That's my secret life hack, don't tell anyone else ok

I try to not buy stuff with a battery in. Laptop, mobile phone and such are obvious counter-examples... but things like a camera that just needs to stand in one single spot... Not having batteries saves so much on the unreliability. You know the batteries will give out at the wrong time.
