One sweet thing I liked was how Izzie doesn't seem at all fazed by Sam. Whenever he says or does something that seems weird, she acts as if it's normal, because for him, it is. She even suggested something that made spending the night away from home easier. A lot of people wouldn't know how to react to Sam at first, even if they get used to him later, but Izzie treated him like anyone else from the start. And that's why I started to like her.

Same with Evan! When Evan and Casie broke up and Sam came up to him in the car telling him he wanted him to be his new Zahid, he didn't yell at him or anything. He said 'now's not really the time' , but then when Sam continued to talk he acknowledged it. :) that's why i love Evan.

Personally I didn’t like izzie. I don’t know why, but in my opinion she’s not a nice person. I think I don’t like her because I liked Casey with Evan and she ruined it. This is just my opinion so please don’t get annoyed with me :)

I mean, yeah, she already knew about Sam because Casey had mentioned it, but when you see the way most people treat Sam when they don't know him, her interaction stands out as surprisingly natural for someone who's not directly socially connected to him.

I love this show so much. The sweetest moment for me was Sam and Zahid finally making up after the Gretchen incident. And I loved how casually Sam accepted Casey's sexuality too, and even drew her the gay penguins to support her.

This has got to be my favorite Netflix exclusive so far. Everyone's heart is just so beautiful even Elsa. My personal favorites are: when Sam bought Casey pencils and told her he's her older brother and he can take care of her too and when Evan fixed the hole on the wall without being asked to.

I think Elsa has a beautiful heart. She gave up so much of herself to take care of Sam. The husband didnt do that. I love all the characters on the show but he is definitely my least favorite!

The husband did make a mistake by leaving but caring for an autistic child is very difficult if I recall correctly the reason he left was not because of Sam but because Elsa was devoting all of her time to caring for Sam. He was struggling too but in the end, he chose to be with his family. What he did is not the same with having an affair. There are 3 other people in Elsa's family not just Sam.

This show is the most amazing thing I have watched in a few decades! I find myself chopping onions a lot, when I get wrapped up in the magnificence and beauty of Humankind as it has been illustrated and portrayed here. I guess I'm an old sap, who fell in love with shows like the "The Wonder Years" and "Quantum leap" for the kindness and good of people, that those series showcased so brilliantly and methodically. I started watching this show because I was under the impression that Casey & izzie were the main characters. I was honestly kind of disappointed when I found out they weren't. But I have completely fallin in love with Sam. While the show doesn't get everything right about autism, sams character is so well written, & the actor does an amazing job. Season 3 hasn't been put on Netflix in Australia yet but I really hope it will be soon.

Now pepole talk about "cazzzie" (casey&izzie) more than fo sam I've hardly seen stuff about sam when looking at other people's stuff online about atypical I understand alot of people like the "cazzie" ship but still...Sam is the main choice and pepole act like the show is about "cazzie" sometimes but I agree sam was favorite character and 2nd favorite character Was casey....Sam&casey were also portrayed as more realistic siblings who find joy in annoying each other and can be rude to each other but still love each other unconditionally

For me… It’s the scene where Sam and his dad (Doug) sitting inside the tent the put together. Sam finally understood his dad’s grief of losing his best friend, and told his dad he can talk to him about stuff. That meant the world to his dad to hear that.

I started watching the show for Cazzie but I liked all of it so much that I finished it in 3 days. Both emotional and funny, great acting, not boring at all, portraits autism very well, all the characters are likeable and the struggles are realistic, I even like the penguin facts and the music that is put...in general awesome! I didn't think Cazzie was forced, they developed their (romantic) relationship over a whole season, while Evan and Casey came together in less then two episodes. Don't get me wrong, I liked Casey and Evan together and I love Evan, he's such a good guy. But Casey hadn't enough romantic love for him to continue her relationship because of her long developed feelings for Izzie she couldn't deny any longer. They are better of as friends and I hope Evan still is in season 4 with his own storyline and maybe a person that is meant for him.

Man I’m so mad at myself for not watching this when it came out. This is a great show I just finished season 3 and I read that the 4th season will be the final. Great show and cast and storylines. I definitely think it could’ve lasted longer . Maybe showing Casey /Sam in college and graduating. Netflix always cancel good shows.
