Although Great Whites tend to finish a kill, I think I remember reading that Bull Sharks are responsible for way more attacks, and that Jaws was inspired by bullshark attacks.
@QaRajhCreations5 жыл бұрын
Bull Sharks are generally considered as more dangerous than the Great White, simply because the Bull Shark is much more aggressive, thus more likely to attack. Another reason is that the Great White isn't as likely to appear in large groups as the bull sharks. Especially in Australia, bull sharks have been known to be able to swim far up into rivers, thus being able to survive in fresh water as well as salt water.
@yup36755 жыл бұрын

One minor mistake to point out: whilst the Elephant seal is the largest predatory animal perhaps in the sense of how we define predators (e.g. being inherently aggressive, hunting a specific prey item within a defined set of mannerisms, etc.), it is not the largest carnivore. Carnivore means an animal that eats other animals, that honour belongs to the Blue Whale, it's not only the largest animal on earth but it eats fish and krill and is therefore carnivorous, strictly speaking :P most people tend to consider filter-feeders as their own category so I know why this error was made, but strictly speaking when you get right down to the bare bones of it, baleen whales eat other vertebrate and invertebrate animals and thus do fall under the carnivore umbrella :) they do tend to be overlooked since they're generally pretty placid creatures and don't actively hunt, since all they need to do is open their mouths, more or less lol
