Ok.....I can't believe I have to explain this again. This is NOT "the most painful insect bites"....this is literally just a summary of the pain index from a 1. a very minor sting (sweat bees don't hurt at all) to 10. the most (bullet ants). GIVE US ACTUAL PAINFUL STINGS. Who makes these lists?

There was a nest of bald-faced hornets at my cottage 5 years ago or so. It was on the outside of the garage a good 15 feet up. It had become quite a hazard and a nuisance, so my buddy and I (who were in our late teens) decided to make it our weekend goal to destroy the nest. We waited until nightfall and retreived one of my dad's portable work lights from the garage and armed ourselves with mallets from our croquet set. We plugged in the light and placed it on the ground about 10 feet away from the garage facing towards the nest. We stood behind the light wielding the mallets with an intent to kill and switched on the light. We started throwing rocks at the nest and the hornets immediately began divebombing the light. Stunning themselves prone with their failed attacks, my friend and I began wailing them with the mallets. It took about an hour, but we managed to kill every single one without getting stung once. To this day, he and I are proud of our flawless victory.
