As someone with Polish ancestry I’m glad your mentioning it’s rich culinary

Traditionally stuffed cabbage rolls are cooked in vegetable broth, on the basis of which the tomato sauce is later made - we do not steam them

What I learned about cooking from my Polish Great-Aunts: always use lard and cook enough food to feed a small army. What I learned about cooking from my Dutch Gramma: always use Oleo and if you slice a pickle spear down the middle you get twice as many serving from a jar.

To all the folks saying that traditional golabki are made a particular way you are incorrect. Golabki are very much a family tradition, not dictated by a culinary rule book. The method of preparing: steamed vs. baked, chicken broth vs. tomato sauce, etc. varies across families and that’s what makes it beautiful. As with many cultures that emigrate to the United States traditional recipes are often adapted for the available ingredients. The important thing is we hand them down across the generations.

Super zestawienie z jednym wyjątkiem. W numerze 6 jest błąd. Śledź (herring) to sama ryba (fish) a pokazane danie nazywa się: sałatka śledziowa (herring salad)

Do polish people make fresh noodles like spaetzle? Or are they mostly dried..
