Shujinko is my favorite MK character of all time, his story and arc is so tragic and beautiful. Devoting his whole live to fighting and finding the kamidogu, even turning down an invitation to fight in the MK tournament for “service of the elder gods” never looking for praise or glory, only to find out it was all a lie. And finally devoting the remainder of his life to righting his wrong. Beautiful, an unsung hero

Kabal is underrated as well, even underdeveloped. Back at the original timeline (Midway MK series), Kabal went from bad guy to good guy, then bad guy again in MK Deception. Come on, make up your mind with him.

The reason Ferra/Torr will never appear again is because Ferra completed her transformation into a brute(which is what Torr is) and during that time Torr died, and Ferra turned into a brute and became what Torr was.

Kira was selling weapons disguised as a man in Afghanistan before being found out and having to murder an entire cave full of arms dealers by herself, and upon coming out, Kabal was waiting and offered her a spot in his new Black Dragon, which he reformed because Havik, Cleric of Chaos from the Chaosrealm, convinced him to do so. She was also documented as the most disciplined fighter in the clan and is established as an anarchist, which is why she found Chaosrealm to be a good place for her AFTER being recruited by Kabal for her fighting prowess and discipline. She wasn’t just like “I like anarchy, I heard there’s a realm of chaos out there, I’m gonna go live there”

It could be good to explore the other realms or look into tribes and races that were absorbed into outworld. The biggest problem really some of the characters don't have much of a story to go on. Nitara did have a good story in deadly alliance able to be a master manipulator to separate her realm from outworld. But something tells me if they brought her back she would be used as a side villain. I would love to see her use blood magic like Skarlett.

I personally wanna see Kai. In MK4, he fought like he would have had capoeira influences, only to have it gone in Armageddon. A black shaolin character that does capoeira (or to be more original, pick between n'golo or kipura, the OG African styles) needs to be brought back somehow. Rain is such an underrated character and deserves his moment in the light. If they capatalize on the storyline of Mortal Kombat X and XI about him being Argus's son an Edenian prince and expand on it he could possibly finally be elevated to Sub-Zero and Scorpions level. At least the show Mortal Kombat Conquest gave him his due credit.

Ermac (one of the strongest characters in mk easily yet is a bodyguard) 3. Reptile (interesting story yet is just a bodyguard) 4. Rain (to little storymode time) 5. Tanya (decent motivation and story in new timeline yet only 1 game) Top 10: 1. Havik (only chaos character) 2. Hotaru (only potential order character) 3. Onaga (needs to be the final boss quickly) 4. Kai (was supposed to be the new lui kang 5. Reiko (comics did him right) 6. Ashrah (interesting character) 7. Nitara (only vampire in mk and maybe good rival for skarlet) 8. Sure it wasn't "double u?" As in, the only letter without it's own name. Also, the J always had the "Y" sound in Scandanavian languages. Also had 6 or 10, depending on the source, letters removed. The Y in the word Ye was meant to be the "thorn," which still made the TH sound, so "ye" doesn't sound like "YEE" at all.

Sareena : Why she is not playable? One of the most interesting characters Kai : Give him a chance, make him useful. Jarek: Make him relevent like Kano's right hand or something important in Black Dragon Reiko: Wasn't he Shao Khan's general, why he is completely ignored? A full scale outworld civil war is much better plot than anything after MK9 Mavado and Li Mei: Cool designs why they are not used Drahmin and Moloch: I really liked Oni consept. They could be cool sub bosses.

Kai, Reiko, Sareena, Ashrah, and Jarek are highly underdeveloped and underrated. Epically Kai, who is Liu Kang's protége and had so many opportunities and they dropped the ball on him. He could of been Lui Kang replacement In Deadly Alliance when they killed off Liu Kang (nope didn't happen, he was cut) Raiden gave him is Lightning Staff, he was a shaolin monk who was gifted in martial arts, had an alternate fighting style (potentially Capoeira) when goes into his Handstand Stance and had the ability to use fire. Hell if worked correctly Kai was practically could of been Fire God Liu Kang is in 11. So much potential...

@@Aster1cks In MK12, Kenshi should sacrifice himself during a fight against Daegon, passing his sword over to Takeda along with his spirit. Allowing Takeda to unlock his full power and avenge his parents. I think MK could get back on track if they use this idea🤞 TAKEDA FOR MK12!

I always thought Drahmin was underrated. An angry evil warlord killed and reborn as an Oni and wears a mask to filter his rage. His body looks like a corpse and he is covered with flies.

It's a good list but forgot 1 character.. Reiko from Mk4. He has been treated as underrated. After Mk4 and gold,he appeared in mk deception and unchained. Was playable again in mk Armageddon and seen in mkX comics along with his cameo appearances in mk9 as well. He also deserves some love. Oh he is also in the mk reboot movie to. And was also seen in mk conquest tv series in mid 90s as well.

I would love to see Rain, Sektor, Cyrax, Ermac and Smoke appear in MK12 as an official member of the roster. Hotaru, Li Mei, Sareena, and Tremor should also be allowed to appear in future MK games, whether as members of main roster or DLC material. I also wouldn't mind Shujinko, Kira, or Ashrah coming back. I have to admit at first, I didn't like Shujinko much because of his move set being the same as other Mortal Kombat character specials, but now I believe that I would respect him if his move set involved 2 other character special moves put into one.
