Up until today, watching this short video, I have been super miserable, (all too aware of my failings, troubles with Borderline Personality Disorder, deeply embedded disillusionment, loneliness, dodgy health, advancing years etc etc),.. but watching this brought me to tears. I KNOW I can do what I need to, but I feel immense pains to go it alone. This clip is made all the more potent to me for its inclusion of the late Robin Williams; I don't want die 20yrs+ younger than him without at least trying to face up to my own demons. This video gives me SOME hope; now all I have to do is act on my determination and turn things around as best I can to prevent an early grave, to do something positive with what I have available to me. MotivMojo. Thanks.

There are some great motivational speakers/videos on KZbin; Eric Thomas, Les Brown, Tony Robbins and channels such as Mateusz M, Chispa, MotivationGrid and Ping Pong Studios, there are many more out there as well. (I've even got some of these on a playlist if your having difficulty trying to find any) I hope this helps you get through a difficult period in your life and i'll leave you with this; An old Cherokee told his grand-son, “My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth.” The boy thought about it, and asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins?” The old man quietly replied, “The one you feed.”

This is a true story, I was a fat fifth grader who loved films. I was fat though and chubby with a low self esteem but still had some good friends. One day though in early July, my friend asked have you ever seen Rocky? I said no so, he grabbed the TV remote and after those two hours my life changed. I got motivated to get up off my ass and lose weight and I lost 25 pounds in around two months. And I got way more friends and confidence. I was finally happy. Not only is Rocky one of my favorite films but, it changed my life for good.

I don't know if people remember this movie, but where's Mask? It shows that no matter how bad you look you can always be an inspiration to others. I thought that movie would at least get an honorable mention.

***** The movie was a highly fictionalized version of the story of a real person. The term "freak" is highly inappropriate. He suffered from Lionism. It's a buildup of calcium deposits in the cranial bones that forces the facial features outwards, while crushing the brain inwardly. It's a slow and horrific way to die. It's unbelievably rare, however (less than one in 200 million or so). The real Rocky Dennis looked very little like the Stoltz character in the movie. Makeup simply could not represent what this disease does. The distortions to the movie character's face were along the y-axis, whereas in reality they were along the x-axis. That's why he was legally blind in real life. It's called Lionism because it distorts the nose and forces the eyes towards the sides, giving a vaguely lion-like appearance to the person. The movie makeup looked nothing like that. Disfigurement is something that happens in nature. Our revulsion to it is a defense mechanism (we identify a disease, and are afraid of it - even if it is genetic in nature and we have no chance of getting it). That doesn't mean we should allow that initial reaction to override our intellects. The real person that the story was based upon, lived a short and painful life. He didn't need ostracization, he needed a cure.

I felt hurt to see rocky 1 at number 10 spot, as the sequels better and i felt if they picked on of the sequels it would raise to a higher spot such as number 3 when he has lost his strength and his fire, and he has to find that fire once again to over power clubber lang. personally i feel that was a very inspirational movie and it should have atleast took number 7 or 8, not the first one at number 10. but thats my opinion.

Amazing list, watchmojo had been dropping in the ideas department lately so its nice to see a decent list again, but considering Pay it Forward was number 1, they forgot about Kevin Spacey in American Beauty, my favourite and most inspiring film to me!

My choice is still #1 Pursuit of happyness. It's a real story of simple man who encounters, rejections, divorced, failures, crisis, homelessness, then in the end He became rich by right choice for perseverance...

I just saw Rocky again (only the second time that I've watched it). I forgot just how good the film is. It really did deserve Best Picture (which it won). It is a well-made, well-written and well-acted film that doesn't really have a happy ending.

oh god, that bathroom scene on "the pursuit of happiness" really hit me when i watched it, so sad and will smith was great on that shit
