Je suis Le Garçon SPOILER***** Interestingly in the original Hellblazer comic Gabriel is a 100% male, Which Garth Ennis used to explain the virgin birth. And Gabriel gets treated pretty brutally in Hellblazer especially when he gets on Constantine's bad side, and John decides to get a bit of personal revenge on him with a chainsaw.

Alan Rickman's Metatron is certainly missing as spotted already by others. But also missing is Angela from the French film "Angel-A" from 2005, played by Rie Rasmussen opposite Jamel Debbouze. One of the best angel films I've ever seen. And one of the most beautifully filmed ones. Well, Luc Besson, what else can you expect.

I'm a little surprised the Angel Louis from Jacob's Ladder isn't on this list. Having a guardian angel lead you through Hell to find peace in death was very touching. He also in my opinion had the best line in the film, " Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. I adore that movie, but I don't think Louis belongs on the list. He's definitely portrayed in a very angelic light ("like an overgrown cherub"), and the analogy for him rescuing Jacob from hell is there. But I would disagree with him being a literal angel.

James Mason & Buck Henry were fantastic. I love both versions of Heaven Can Wait and Body & Soul! Constantine and Prophecy have finally found their following. A lot of people panned both initially, but I LOVE both and am thrilled they are starting to be appreciated! Who doesn't love It's a Wonderful Life! Michael is one of my faves. Travolta hit gold in Michael and Phenomenon at that time...I was secretly hoping you'd include honorable mention of Beatrice Strait, Charles Durning, Scatman Crothers, etc. in Two of a Kind. heheheh

Well, that movie could be said to be far more notable for being visually stunning. Michael was not really a groundbreaking new idea for an angel. It was beautiful CGI and character development, so it would probably be ranked in top 10 angel movies. Not to say that I don't agree that the performance was amazing.
