Not honorable mention but number 1. If hits the tree and drops short like Eagle he would be only 2 ahead and Eagle would have put the drive on 17 in play putting pressure on Simon. That shot sealed victory on 16. It was also a good shot going over the basket or just to the right ensuring the spot for a tap in 3.

Personal opinion, I thought DGLO was the most interesting course this year to watch (with the exception of 16). Good mix of long, short, and technical holes. 16 was asking to get broken with the option and I'm surprised Simon was the only one to do it. Wonder if it was meant to be a pure island and they didn't get the waiver to require the mandatory.

If they choose to keep it an island, I'd bet the optional part won't be optional anymore. They worked hard to make most of the other holes harder, but somehow they made this one "easier" for the players that have the length to get it past the green on the fly.

Yes, and I was noticing how his body agility is so precise. His lead leg straightens out during the pivot to allow for the anhyzer throw, this putts his spin angle on the same plane all the way. His body precision is amazing.

Simon's intentional OB is #1 by far. That shot could actually change how disc golf is played and future hole layouts. Very few game changing shots, but that was one of them.

I may be in the minority, but I feel like Calvin's eagle on 6 was a better shot than on 10.

I think 10 is better because an eagle on that hole is much harder. you can throw the roller on 6 and get to the bottom of the hill to get yourself a really long jump putt. 10 there is really no chance for the eagle unless you throw in

@@NxtPh3n0m yeah, but the question isn't which hole is harder to eagle on. It's top 10 shots. Hole 6 was a flip up forehard pure in. Hole 10 was a stock hyzer that would've gone high if it didn't hit a last second branch.

Out of context hole 6 is a better shot but take into account he's chasing down Simon and already threw it in just minutes ago... to do it again on 10 becomes absolutely insane.

Honestly the more tournaments I watch with eagle, the more I realize he may have the best putting on tour. Dude just always putts better than the rest of the lead card. I think his decision making holds him back sometimes? Thoughts?

I think Simon out-putted him on this card. But you're right, he is great. I think he has a distinct style which looks easy, his length and unique eagle claw finish makes him memorable, and he can mix in the spin putt in the wind. Most agree in the wind he shines, few are able to match him. It's hard to see where he faltered here, a few OBs, but Simon was just better. And he's proven he can win making decisions to just throw backhand (Euro Open). He doesn't really have a weakness in his game, not mentally, and he excels physically.

I haven't noticed poor decision making from Eagle recently, maybe early in the year when he threw lefty backhands occasionally? I can't remember how those throws went, but he certainly doesn't need that right now with how effortlessly powerful his righty forehand looks again. Hole 1 at Toboggan looked like he threw it about 25% power and he landed edge of circle, I know its downhill but that shot was just bonkers.

Simon's intentional OB shot not being on here is a disgrace. It should be #1. He picked up a shot on every player on the card, it gave him a 3 shot lead with 2 holes left, and secured the win. Also Eagle's putt on 13 should be higher. It got him to within 1 shot of the lead with 5 holes to play on the final day. Calvin's stretch of holes was absolutely amazing and I really think he's going to be known as the best player ever.
