so my friends kept raving about this ebook queen abundance secrets and honestly, i was like, “okay, another self-help thing.” but then i started seeing how much they were glowing-one of them landed her dream job, and another finally started that side hustle she’d been talking about for years. it’s not over the top or anything, but you can tell their energy is different. if you’re curious about manifesting abundance and leaning into your feminine energy, it might be worth checking out-it really clicked for them.

❤📚📚❤️ I loved Pillars of the Earth, Snow Falling on Cedars and Middlemarch. Lonesome Dove, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Color Purple, and All The Light We Cannot See are all on my physical shelves and need to be read! I plan on a buddy read of Kinred this year with my sister and Birdsong is on my Goodreads as "want to read". Loved the video. Great recommendations!!

i kept hearing about queen abundance secrets from the women in my circle, and at first, i brushed it off as another ebook trend. but when one of them started manifesting her dream life, like literally booking vacations and getting raises, i couldn’t ignore it anymore. it’s not about quick fixes or cheesy advice-it’s about using your feminine energy to create alignment with what you want. if you’re feeling like life isn’t quite flowing the way you want, this might be worth a look. it’s been a game-changer for people around me.

I recently bought Les Mis, The Pillars of the Earth, All the Light We Cannot See, and Remains of the Day - looking forward to reading them. I just finished C.J. Sansom’s Dissolution, which was amazing, and I also loved his Winter in Madrid.

I loved the Color Purple and All the Light We Can Not See was amazing. On the old list, I loved Where the Crawdad Sings too. You asked for fantasy recs... I"m a person who does not like fantasy and rarely read it. I didn't even like LOTR. But I recently read a MG fantasy called The Girl Who Drank the Moon and just loved it. It is a Newberry Award winner.. and a lovely book.

i used to think all this feminine energy and manifestation stuff was a little extra, but then a friend kept bringing up queen abundance secrets. at first, i rolled my eyes, thinking it was all about wishful thinking, but it’s actually deeper than that. it’s about how you’re using your energy to attract the life you want. my friends who’ve read it are more confident, focused, and are finally pulling in the kind of opportunities and relationships they deserve. it’s not magic, but it’s a perspective shift that worked for them-it might just work for you too.

Finally adding Middlemarch to my TBR. I don't know why I waited this long!

It's so surprisingly good!

I have read only a Thousand Splendid Suns form this list, but two others are on my TBR horizon and a few others certainly will be. I want to recommend, The Secret Piano by Zhu Xioa-Mei. This is actually a memoir but my recollection it is very readable . It is a startling story of life in the 60s-70s Chinese cultural revolution and what it was like for the author to grow up, be sent to a music conservatory due her incredible talents and then to a labor work camp.

Thanks for the recommendation! It looks very good but also so sad. It's definitely something I'd like to read, though.

I have read most of these, but thanks for reminding me to get to Middlemarch. I agree with you about Sebastion Faulks - I loved Birdsong and Charlotte Gray is on my TBR list.

Middlemarch is so good! I was so surprised! Charlotte Gray is definitely a lot slower than Birdsong, but I'm still glad I read it.

I've read 4 of the 9, all very good, but none in my all-time greats list--subjectivity at its best! :P

Yes, it's so fun to talk about subjective favorites! What are some of your favorites of all time? Anything you'd recommend?

I also loved Pillars of the Earth. I also really enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd of the series. I loved The Nightingale. I loved All the Light You Cannot See. I liked The Color Purple but it wouldn’t be in my top books. The Kite Runner and Where the Crawdads Sing were good. Almost all of the others are on my TBR already.

Yes, Les Miserables is a wonderful novel despite the minutiae. It's worth the time necessary to read it so why not, unless you have something else to do? However, if multivolume tomes are banned in your country his, Victor Hugo, Hunchback of Notre Dame is only one volume and very, very good too.
@FortheLoveofStory17 сағат бұрын
Does the Hunchback have lots of meandering diatribes like Les Mis? I've thought about reading it, but I might wait another year before I commit to it, lol.
@jamesduggan720017 сағат бұрын
@@FortheLoveofStory No, Hugo was much younger while writing Notre Dame and had fewer axes to grind. It is historical fiction at its best, bringing us into Medieval France in a way where we experience it believably, even in the 21st century.

@ Good to know! That makes me a lot more excited to read it! I love French literature, so maybe I should pick it up sooner rather than later.

“The Pillars of the Earth” was not for me; I couldn’t get into the characters and it’s too contrived. “Middlemarch” is a book I thought I’d enjoy but too long and the language - too archaic. “Lonesome Dove”, “The Kite Runner”, “A Thousand Splendid Suns”, “Where the Crawdads Sing” - all top notch books.
